Woodley Sports knocked Bishops out of their third cup in ten months at Cheadle Town. Bishops went into the game without the unavailable Ward, Paul Collins, Steve Winspear and that list was added to when Griffith failed a pre-match fitness test leaving a significantly depleted back four to take on the pace of Woodley.
The game had a quiet start, and there was nothing in it when Douglas-Pringle put Woodley one up on 28 minutes. Bishops were on the attack seconds before, but a quick break and long ball saw Mohan head weakly to the striker who finished well.
Bishops created their first real chance on 32 minutes when a corner found Yalcin. His blocked shot went to Coad whose goalbound shot was well saved.
Paul Crager picked up what proved to be a crucial yellow card a minute later for a mistimed tackle.
Yalcin almost brought Bishops level on 42 minutes when he found space on the left and drifted over a cross which hit the face of the bar and bounced clear.
There was still nothing in it on the hour, with chances at both ends being limited, but as the game wore on it was the swift attacks of Woodley that started to cause havoc in the ageing Bishops defence.
On 67 minutes a one-on-one was fired wide by Woodley's substitute. Four minutes later another quick break left Collinson exposed, but he pulled off a fine save to keep the Two Blues in the game.
But there was nothing the impressive Collinson could do on 77 minutes when Meakin deflected in a cross from close range.
Mohan left the defence and joined the attack, and a minute later Fairish slotted a beautiful ball to the centre half who lifted the ball over the 'keeper and the bar.
Collinson saved well again on 79 minutes from a free kick, but on 80 minutes a cross was angled home by the impressive Douglas-Pringle. Morning added a fourth on 83 minute to complete a nightmare five minute spell to end the tie.
To add to Bishops misery, Crager was sent off on 86 minutes for a second yellow, and a 90th minute miss by Yalcin was irrelevant to the outcome of the game.
