11 October, 2006

Team:  Jon Collinson, Paul Griffith, Steven Baynes*, Paul Collins, Richard Ward, Matthew Coad, Stephen Larkin, Levent Yalcin, Gavin Parkin*, Richie Storr*, Bryan Stewart.  Subs Used: Paul Campbell, Dan Newby, Andrew Fletcher

Four days after knocking Bishop Auckland out of the FA Vase, Dunston FB returned to Dean Street looking for league points.

Bishops made a great start when Yalcin ended a great move with a clinical finish in the fourth minute.

Dunston were soon level when Preen fired in a low shot on 10 minutes.  Just before the half hour Scope added a second when he put in the rebound after a good save by Collinson to put the Tynesiders in control.

Collinson came to Bishops rescue early in the second half when he guessed wrongly from Armstrong's penalty, but saved with his legs.  This was Bishops third penalty save in five league games.

Bishops drew level on 80 minutes when substitute Fletcher knocked over a free kick for Ward to head home.

A nasty injury to Richie Storr gives Bishops yet more injury problems for the weekend's crucial encounter with West Allotment Celtic.

Player Ratings:  Collinson 8, Griffith 7, Baynes 7, Collins 7, Ward 8, Coad 6, Larkin 6, Yalcin 7, Parkin 7, Storr 9, Stewart 9
