BAFC LTD SHARE ISSUE
Bishop Auckland FC
Ltd was formed in 1996 with an initial 100,000 shares in the club. However, with this initial share issue
approaching a sold out position, the shareholders of BAFC voted in favour of a
board resolution to increase the club’s share capital at the AGM in July.
Existing
shareholders have been offered the shares initially, and we are now able to
open up the share issue to the general public.
The club is looking
to extend share ownership amongst our supporters and the local community and to
attract new investors to the club at this exciting time in the club’s
development.
Shares are available
in multiples of £50 by contacting the club via the website. Mail me for more details.

BISHOPS AND PENRITH PICK UP
POINT A PIECE
Penrith grabbed an
undeserved point two minutes from time as Bishops dominated the chances in a
six goal thriller. Bishops were ahead,
level, behind, level and ahead again before the late strike. Two goals for Emson and one for Gredziak in a
competitive performance against one of the league’s better sides.
(Update 7 November)
Bishops ran in seven
goals at Willington despite giving them the services of goalkeepers Peter Jeffries,
Ryan Graham and defender Jake Richardson during the match. Playing without Masters, Moss, Gredziak,
Salvin and Emson, the goalscoring was left to Darren Richardson who picked up a
hat-trick with Joe Grant, Adam Strong and Amar Purewal all scoring. Kit-man
Michael Walker was a second half substitute and scored the sixth goal.
(Update 4 November)
HALLOWEEN
HORROR SHOW AT RYTON
Bishops put in a
Frankenstein performance at Ryton and the badly assembled outfit were hacked to
pieces by Ryton. The opening goal came
from the spot when Arjun Purewal was adjudged to have handled in the area. A second before half time, and after Emson
missed a great chance early in the second half Ryton hit another on the
break. Bishops consolation came at 5-0
when Darren Richardson fired home from a tight angle.
(Update 31 October)
LATE GREDZIAK
STRIKE GIVES NORTON BLUES
A real thriller at
Norton with Gredziak setting up Masters twice in an end to end first half which
Bishops led 2-0. Norton hit back with
two goals early in the second half and looked to be heading for a win before Bishops
battled back. Salvin missed a penalty
and Masters hit the post before Gredziak’s 94th minute strike.

CHAMPIONS
EDGE BATTLING BISHOPS
Bishops took an early
lead with an Emson individual goal opening the scoring on fifteen minutes but
Benfield took command after the break to equalise then an unfortunate Chris
Lawson scored an own goal to give the league champions the points.
(Update 27 October)
CHALLENGE CUP
DEFEAT AT NORTON
Bishops put in a
miserable performance on a miserable night at Norton. The home side dominated the first half, with
Bishops coming more into the match after the interval. However, it was Norton who broke the deadlock
with extra time looming, and a second goal just before the final whistle
settled the tie.

STEELMEN
THRASHED BY RAMPANT BISHOPS
Bishops handed
Consett a 3-0 beating and although two of the three came from late penalties,
the Two Blues strikeforce spurned a string of first half chances which should
have had the game won before half time.
Emson opened the scoring just after the break and Salvin converted the
spot-kicks to give Bishops the win.

AT HALL ROAD RANGERS
Bishops will have to
make alternative storage arrangements for their horticultural stock after
crashing out of the FA Vase at Hall Road Rangers. Behind early on to an Andrew Richardson own

difficulty. After both sides missed
chances in the second half Rangers notched a third with ten minutes to go to
end the tie.

two minutes secured a 2-1 victory for Bishops as West. Stuart Irvine had given the home side the
lead with a good shot on the turn midway through the first half. West also missed a penalty before Arjun
Purewal grabbed an 88th minute equaliser and as Bishops piled on the
pressure Salvin slotted home a 90th minute penalty after a double
