Since 1952 our aim at Craigycor has been to breed quality corgis with good temperament and sound construction.

Pembroke Corgis

Craigycor has been blessed with forging good friendships with top breeders in the UK and USA. We have taken these super dogs and their phenomenal blood lines and blended them with our own line and this has given us great successes which include several All breed Championship Show BEST IN SHOW wins, Multiple Group wins in Ireland and the UK and the #1 Corgi (Dog and bitch) & Pastoral Dog at Championship Shows in Ireland in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 and we have the top male and female Corgi Kennel in 2007.

2007 was a memorable year for us at Craigycor as:

#1 Pembroke Corgi in Ireland for the 5th consecutive year and:

#1 & #2 males in the breed

#1 & #2 females in the breed

top puppy in the breed

Craigycor were #1 Pastoral Breeder in Ireland in 2007 in the Belcando Dog Food leader board as published on the Show Dogs Ireland web site.

we have the #1 Corgi bitch in the United Kingdom in 2007.

We have the highest placed corgi in the Irish canine Press Redmills / Show Dogs Ireland Top Group #1 Dog tables in 2007.

thirteen different dogs gained titles in 2007 and ten of these were home bred;

At the first FCI Championship Show held in Ireland under the 10 group system Craigycor won both Green Stars, Best of Breed, 2nd in Group 1, Best Puppy in Breed, 1st in Puppy Group 1 and Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

we have had 4 different Championship Show Group Winners in Ireland in 2007 and 3 more abroad.

We were the first Corgi to win 1st in Group 1 under the new ten group system in Ireland.

in September we won Best in Show at the Welsh Corgi Club of Ulster Breed Championship Show

in October we won Best in Show at Munster Corgi Club Breed Championship Show and therefore winning BIS at the only two breed shows in Ireland this year.

in December when we won the Dog CC at LKA it gave us our 6th English champion.

Terriers

We have owned several terriers breeds over the years and these have included champion Smooth Fox Terriers, Cairn Terriers and Kerry Blue Terriers.

Tasarnia

Lhasa Apsos

Tasarnia Lhasa Apsos were established in 1994 and this line has been built on the solid foundation of the top winning Saxonsprings lines.

We have bred several champions and we have won Groups and Best in Shows at All Breed Championship Shows and we have won Best in Show at the UK National Speciality Breed Show.

As well as our successes in Ireland and the UK we are very proud of the fact that one of our previously owned dogs' Matthew aka Am./Ir. Ch. Shows Fantastic at Pantulf has won Best in Show at the American National Speciality in 2006 along with BOB at Westminster and the Eukaneba Challenge in 2006 and 2007.

Australian Shepherds

We added an Australian Shepherd to our show Team in 2004 and their loveable and energetic temperament have brought us great fun since their arrival for us as owners and also for the Corgis and Lhasa's as they now had canine freinds a lot bigger and faster to play with.

In 2006 we bred our first and so far only litter of Aussies and we are delighted that the puppy we retained from this litter qualified for Crufts at her first Championship Show and ended up #1 Aussie in Ireland in 2007.

In summary, we have bred and owned many champions in the breeds we are showcasing on our website and we have included photos of our dogs from past, the present and young hopefuls for the future.
