Money raised at this years hugely successful Crantock Big Bale Push 2008, exceeded £5,000.  .

The £5,000 was raised by teams of all ages, as they raced against the clock up to a full quarter of a mile, supporting the annual fund raising effort for local and county charities.

The Neonatal Unit at Treliske Hospital and Cornwall Hospice Care are the two major key charities targeted by this year’s Crantock Bale Push.

But also, Crantock Village Hall, and various other Crantock and Cubert village community projects, will receive valuable assistance from the money raised by Septembers Crantock Big Bale Push.

John Richards, one of the originators of the Big Bale Push said: "We are once again supporting key community projects close to the heart of the community. The total raised over the last six years now tops an astonishing £35,000, and it all started from a casual idea over a couple of pints in a local pub!"

The overall sum raised at the event includes money from programme advertising, sales and collections. Some collections on the night by other participating organizations, such as CLIC Sergeant, the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity have not been included in the overall sum.
