History of C.J.C. Crewe Judo Club was formed more than 25 years ago by Sensei Alf Coyles. The club was set up with the aim of teaching traditional judo to all those who wished to learn. In 1991 Chris Sharpe started training at Crewe Judo Club, assisting Sensei Coyles with the instructing. In 1995 Sensei Coyles passed away and since then Chris Sharpe has run Crewe Judo Club. In 1997 the club moved to the Ludford School, in 2002 the club moved to Ruskin Sports College and on 22 May 2005, moved to Fitness First in Crewe. We recently moved to Marshfield Community Centre (next door to Fitness First). The club now runs with the original aim of teaching traditional Kodokan Judo, Sport Judo, Kata and groundfighting. Also at the same location, is Ren Bu Kai Submission Fighting. Sensei Sharpe has produced his own comprehensive and challenging grading syllabus. In the true tradition of martial arts, Sensei Chris Sharpe Yondan, receives no financial gain from the club, with all profits being used for the benefit of its members. Chris is also assisted by junior black belts, Polly Swindail and Sean Barber. Sensei Chris Sharpe 4th Dan Judo VIEW THE 40 ORIGINAL TECHNIQUES OF THE GOKYO
