Trophy’s for Season 2008

CLUB A CHAMPIONSHIP: Best 6 nett scores from possible 10 rounds.

                          Handicap Range: 0  to 16.

CLUB B CHAMPIONSHIP: Best 6 nett scores from a possible 10 rounds.

                         Handicap Range: 17 to 28.

                         Players must play 6 rounds to qualify for the above.

ECLECTIC: Best scores at each hole accumulated over the season with ½

                        final handicap deducted at the end of the season.

SALTIRE QUAICH: Points accumulated by finishing position at each event                    

                        resulting in a grand total at the end of the season. Attendance at

                        All five outings will enhance a player’s chances of winning.

SINGLES TROPHY: Match play. (See Match Secretary’s report).

DOUBLES TROPHY: Fourball better ball. ( See Match Secretary’s report).

EASTER TROPHY: Stroke play. (36 holes).                Lenzie 18^th April.

J.T.SMITH CUP:    Stroke play. (36 holes).                 Balumbie 16^th May.

LES DODDS TROPHY: Stroke play. (18 holes).         Niddrie Cas 13^th June.

WILSHIRE TROPHY: Stroke play. (18 holes).             Niddrie Cas 13^th June.

SPORTS & SOCIAL CUP: Stroke play. (18 holes).     Whitekirk 15^th August.

BILL BELL TROPHY: Stableford. (18 holes).                Whitekirk 15^th August.

SHAW TROPHY: Stroke play. (18 holes).                     Hilton Park 12^th Sept.

LARGE WOODEN SPOON: Highest nett score at each event.

SMALL WOODEN SPOON: Highest score at any hole at each event.

All scores at the outings account towards the Club A/B, Eclectic & Saltire Quaich

Trophy’s for Club A/B, Eclectic, Saltire Quaich, Singles & Doubles are presented at the last outing.

Non-returns are discouraged in the Society. Any player carding a non-return score will automatically be credited with a score of 5 shots over and above the highest score recorded for that round.

TORBETT TROPHY: (Longest Drive). Most “Longest Drive” awards throughout the season at the 5 outings.

JIM BURNS TROPHY: (Ball Winners). Most balls won throughout the season at the 5 outings.
