Progressive Loony Culture
for a Happier, Friendlier Britain
John Cartwright, the brilliant and forward-thinking leader of the Croydon Branch of the OMRLP, has consistently been in the forefront of the development of innovative, modern, progressive thought and the advancement of moderate, sensible policies to benefit Britain, and to create a happy, harmonious and prosperous society for all its citizens.
In particular, this process includes the continuing struggle against the relentless onslaught of the tiny minority of evil destructive people whose sole purpose in life is to undermine the moral fabric of society and to destroy civilisation. These deranged anti-social elements are, to a large extent, led astray and misguided by secret agents who are acting on behalf of the vast intergalactic conspiracy of
evil alien hippopotamuses, some of whom have even come to Earth and disguised themselves as humans, as part of their evil and fiendish plans. Without the heroic struggle of the pioneers of the Official Monster Raving Loony Party and the wider Loony Movement, these Hippos and hippocrats would be even closer to establishing the ultimate tyranny and despotic horror of a hippocracy rather than a true Revoloony Democratic People's Kingdom Of Britain. This Loonocracy will be facilitated, at the intermediate stage, by the establishment of a Dictatorship of the Looniat under the guiding leadership of a disciplined Monarchist-Loonyist Vanguard on behalf of the Loony masses, prior to the final
triumph of Loonyism which will see the withering away of the other parties and the supremacy of a single-party diverse pluralist Loonocracy.

Who were these men?
What are they to me,
These eight young men who died
In a land across the sea?
They went to fight the Taliban,
To serve their gracious noble Queen
But what’s it for? What does it mean,
When some are dead at just eighteen?
No more the blazing sun for them
No more the sand or flies
Innoculations or mosquito nets;
The cool relief comes as he dies.
No more the sound of bang and rattle
No more fear of shrapnel’s clatter,
Roadside bombs or I.E.D.s,
Snipers, or their Pashto chatter
Knowing not the greater picture,
Unconscious of the whirlwind’s reaping:
Imperialism’s latest misadventure
Takes its harvest as they’re sleeping
They were someone’s sons and dads,
Boyfriend or a cheeky brother,
Grandson, uncle, one of the lads,
Always someone’s one or other
These eight men, who were they to me?
Someone else’s own Prince Harry,
Someone other’s Daniel Radcliffe,
Perhaps waiting, some day to marry
All were precious, strong, beloved,
Eight noble princes from a different clan
Taken each from his own people,
Now all grimly equal, to a man.
The Loony Struggle
(Tune: The Internationale)
Arise, ye Loonies and be ready,
For soon the struggle will commence.
The Lib-Lab-Con-trick parties tremble
At the dawn of common sense.
So let’s drive New Labour to destruction
And send the nasty Tories away;
The Lib Dems are just a distraction
Let the Loonies lead the way:
So, come, rise up, ye Loonies,
As the final battle starts:
The Monster Raving Loonies
Unite our minds and hearts!
The Loony Flag
(Tune: The Red Flag)
The Loony flag is black and gold:
It helps unite the young and old
And peasants and aristocrats
With badges and big silly hats.
Then let the Loonies dance and sing,
The sound of jangling bells will ring;
Though Tories flinch and Labour sneer
The Loony Flag is flying here.
The Empty Vessel Song
(Tune: The Horst Wessel Song)
Wear proud the hat, the Loony hat of friendship;
Protest against political elites,
And let us march, united in the Loony Movement,
Then we will rule the whole Milloonium.
Say no to spin, and fight against betrayal;
Cast out the grey, and let the rainbow shine,
So send the Lib-Lab-Contrick parties down the gutter
And then tomorrow will be yours and mine!
Let us be free from Washington and Brussels,
To make our laws, and long may live the Queen!
The Monster Raving Loonies will defend our island;
Let fun and colour everywhere be seen!
The Frog Song
(Tune: There'll Always Be An England)
There'll always be a tadpole,
And tadpoles will be frogs,
And frogs will always wear top-hats
And loin-cloths and clogs;
The frog is quite enormous:
It's taller than a house;
The same size as an elephant,
But smaller than a mouse.
Democratic People's Revoloony Song
(Tune: National Anthem of North Korea)
The people sing the Loony song
For progress and diversity:
The Monster Raving Loony Party is
The vanguard party for me.
United we're against apathy,
Complacency and passivity
And the struggle is continuing
For Loony People's Democracy.
