I really must apologise for the narrow range of subjects covered in this gallery.
It seems that almost all of the entries relate to aquatic creatures of one sort
or another. The problem is that this part of the Museum is managed by our
Professor of Biology, Dr C. Shaw, who is rather old and doesn't get out much. He
does, on the other hand, have a very nice book called 'Life in the Sea'.
Personally, I think that nature is over-rated. It creeps, it crawls, it gets
absolutely everywhere. There's no avoiding it. It's not so bad when it's being
red in tooth and claw; the problem is that most of the time it seems to be
goo-coloured in pseudopod and sucker. No, I really don't like it. Still, if
you're absolutely determined to see some of the hideously awful things that
might come and get you when you're paddling, then by all means click the pretty
buttons to go to the topic of interest. Don't say you haven't been warned, and
don't come crying to me when you have bad dreams.
