    INDUSTRIAL/WORKPLACE MISSION ADVISORY COUNCIL

    The purpose of the Council is to co-ordinate the work of Kent's Workplace Chaplaincy Team, to create opportunities for sustained dialogue concerning how the values of the Kingdom impinge in practical ways on industry, commerce and the economy, to help individual Christians to relate their faith to the issues of daily work and to ensure that Industrial Mission is seen to be the responsibility of the whole church. Membership of the Council includes representatives of Industry, Commerce and the Trade Unions.

    KENT POLICE ECUMENICAL CHAPLAINCY COMMITTEE

    CONTINENTAL  EUROPE

    EUROPEAN CHURCH PARTNERSHIP - Church twinning as an ecumenical tool for mission.

    KIRCHENTAG (German Church Assembly/Congress)

    Held every two years, moving between the major German cities; attendance approximately 150,000, of which over half will be young people under 26, attracting both Protestants and Catholics.  The next Kirchentag will be the 2nd Ecumenical Kirchentag jointly organised by the Catholic and Evangelical churches in Germany, and will be held in Munich 12-16 May 2010.  The next two-yearly Protestant Kirchentag will be held in Dresden, 1st-5th June 201.  Further details (and eventually on-line registration) are available at www.kirchentag.de

    THE INSTITUTE FOR ECUMENICAL RESEARCH

    On behalf of the world's Lutheran churches,  the Institute for Ecumenical Research brings together under one roof a multinational team of theologians, providing theological analysis and advice, serving the churches as they strive to resolve their differences with other Christian churches and thus make visible the unity of  the Church under one Lord, Jesus Christ.

    CHARTA OECUMENICA

    The Presidents of the Conference of European Churches and the Roman Catholic Council of European Bishops' Conferences in 2001 signed CHARTA OECUMENICA, a declaration prepared by the Churches in Europe.  The full text of the Charta may be found at www.cec-kek.org/English/ChartafinE.htm and tries, through suggestions, examples and links, to direct the reader to the Charta's local application.  A summary of the Charta has been produced by Churches Together in England. Copies may be obtained (10 for £3 incl p&p) from 27 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9HH.  It may also be downloaded from www.churches-together.org.uk or obtained as a rtf file by email from carole.golden@cte.org.uk.

    EDUCATION

    BROMLEY COLLEGE CHRISTIAN NETWORK

    An informal group of Christian staff and students from a variety of denominations.  The group meets regularly for prayer during term time.  These informal meetings are open to both staff and students.

    This development education centre works closely with schools, teachers, faith communities and youth organisations.

    KENT COUNTY

    CRITICAL INCIDENT (COUNTY EMERGENCY) PLAN

    KENT CHURCHES STAND at the COUNTY SHOW

    Since 1945 there has been a Churches’ Stand at the County Show, which is usually held in the third week of July. The Stand is arranged and staffed by Christians of all Churches within CTK, and is supported financially by the two Anglican dioceses of Canterbury and Rochester, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church.
