CHAPLAINCY For Chaplaincies to Educational establishments, please see Education (below) INDUSTRIAL/WORKPLACE MISSION ADVISORY COUNCIL The purpose of the Council is to co-ordinate the work of Kent's Workplace Chaplaincy Team, to create opportunities for sustained dialogue concerning how the values of the Kingdom impinge in practical ways on industry, commerce and the economy, to help individual Christians to relate their faith to the issues of daily work and to ensure that Industrial Mission is seen to be the responsibility of the whole church. Membership of the Council includes representatives of Industry, Commerce and the Trade Unions.

EUROPEAN CHURCH PARTNERSHIP - Church twinning as an ecumenical tool for mission.
KIRCHENTAG (German Church Assembly/Congress) Held every two years, moving between the major German cities; attendance approximately 150,000, of which over half will be young people under 26, attracting both protestants and catholics. The next Kirchentag will be held 6-10 June 2007 in Cologne. Information, and on-line registration, are available at www.kirchentag.de (In 2005 the
Kirchentag was held in Hanover 25-29 May.
THE INSTITUTE FOR ECUMENICAL RESEARCH On behalf of the world's Lutheran churches, the Institute for Ecumenical Research brings together under one roof a multinational team of theologians, providing theological analysis and advice, serving the churches as they strive to resolve their differences with other Christian churches and thus make visible the unity of the Church under one Lord, Jesus Christ. The Presidents of the Conference of European Churches and the Roman Catholic Council of European Bishops' Conferences in 2001 signed CHARTA OECUMENICA, a declaration prepared by the Churches in Europe. The full text of the Charta may be found at www.cec-kek.org/English/ChartafinE.htm and tries, through suggestions, examples and links, to direct the reader to the Charta's local application. CRITICAL INCIDENT (COUNTY EMERGENCY) PLAN KENT CHURCHES STAND at the COUNTY SHOW Since 1945 there has been a Churches Stand at the County Show, which is usually held in the third week of July. The Stand is arranged and staffed by Christians of all Churches within CTK, and is supported financially by the two Anglican dioceses of Canterbury and Rochester, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church.
This Network has been formed to encourage and enable Christian action and reflection and its aims include sharing ideas, insights and experiences, affirming and supporting those engaged in housing issues and raising awareness and promoting positive action within church and community.
