All My Sons
by Arthur Miller

May 1998

All My Sons was Arthur Miller's first successful play, preceding such well-known works as Death of a Salesman and The Crucible. It is a play about responsibility and the consequences of action. Joe Keller only learns how inter-related people and events are when he discovers that his own son was one of the victims of his dubious action in selling cracked cylinder heads for Air Force planes that subsequently crashed.
