| Our Director
 | George
Reynolds (DRSAM) has been the musical director
and conductor of CYCO since 1984. He was a member of the National Youth Orchestra
and studied trumpet and conducting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music. He
was a member of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, The London Symphony
Orchestra (17 years), and the London Brass Virtuosi. He now devotes more of his
time to teaching, free-lancing, solo work and conducting. He
was Head of the popular Brass Department at the Colchester Institute and is Professor
of Trumpet at Homerton College, Cambridge and Anglia University. He founded the
Anglia Brass Academy in 1993. | George
brings a wealth of professional experience to the orchestra. His expectations
of the players are very high, however, they always live up to those expectations
and, in some cases, have surprised themselves by exceeding them. Young players
joining the orchestra soon experience the satisfaction of achieving much more
than they ever realised they could. |
