AtoB stands for Airport transfer office Booking. This product is designed for minibus and taxi companies who deal with airport transfers.
Booking
Bookings can be taken by your office staff over the telephone and / or customers can book direct on the internet. If you have agents who take bookings for you they can remotely login on the internet and book directly into the system. Bookings made directly by customers over the internet pay online and this money is transferred automatically into your bank account. With agent online booking the system holds the appropriate information to easily produce invoices when required.
All entered data is checked before the booking can be entered into the system. This reduces the number of potential problems later cropping up when the time comes to pick customers up.
Online bookings means that your customers are doing some of your work for you, thus reducing your workload. They will take responsibility for the entered data and cannot complain if the information is not correct.
When the booking has been completed a printout and / or an email of the job can be produced for the customer. Online bookings automatically get sent an email confirming their journey details and also have the opportunity to print out the details.
Information
After a booking has been taken all information relating to the job is stored on the system. A job can be retrieved easily with very little information by using the provided search facility. Once a job has been located it can be edited and saved again. When ever a job is edited the time and who made the modification is recorded for future reference.
What is produced
A different printout is produced for each job dependant on whether it is for the customer or the diver who is going to pickup the customer. Information that is unusual about the job such as child seats are highlighted on the driver printout.
The stored jobs can be viewed on a daily basis, affectively showing the days work load. This list can be printed out and used to schedule work.
The stored information can be viewed in a number of different ways and provides an invaluable management tool for business analysis and decision making. One useful feature can help identify what has been the most effective way to market the your service.
Maintenance
The system can be backed up automatically on a number of different machines minimising the potential of a catastrophic failure.
Security
To access the system a user must login. This makes the system very secure and also makes users accountable since when a job is modified the user who has made that modification is recorded. User accounts can be given different privileges allowing them access to different system features. A users account can always be disabled or deleted at any time by a user with the appropriate authority. If a user forgets to log out the system will automatically log them out after a predefined period of inactivity.
System requirements
The system is fully network-able and is operating system independent running on most operating systems, some of which include Windows (XP, 2000), Linux / Unix variants including Mac OS X. The main system (server) can be a fairly moderately specified system and can be bought off the shelf from any PC store. The clients can be very low specified machines only being capable of running a relatively recent browser (e.g. Mozilla, Firefox, Internet Explorer). The server machine can also act as the client.
You can run a demo version of the system by clicking on the images below. One of the images is the office view of the application and the other is the view a customer or agent would see if booking on the internet. Both versions can be customised to fall in line with your company requirements, it is expected that the online view will change to present an appropriate company image.
For the office view login with the following:
