There are over 150 clubs in Midlands East so it is a huge recognition for all the hard work put in by all at the club. This starts with our players and parents and ends with the Exec committee. It is an award we can all share but special thanks must go to Kevin Herbert, Zoe Maitland and Joanne Ryan for all their work attaining the Seal of Approval and Alex Hadley our East Midlands Regional Development Officer for all his guidance.

This shows just how successful we are on and off the field.  Not only have we received this award, we also have two age groups through to the finals of the Mini Mobbs, some of our girls have been selected for the County squad, the clubs U.17’s have just won their East Mids league and go through to the National cup and the Seniors are dominating their league. And all of this within the past two weeks.  We still wish everyone well at Nottingham and will be cheering on the 13-16’s in their East Midlands cup competitions.

We must not sit on our laurels though and we are always striving to improve. The club depends on volunteers and we have now managed to fill further key roles and thanks go to Karen Patrick, Julie Paul, Louise Baltrop, Mark Richardson and Laurence Knowles for stepping up but we can always find jobs for those interested.

I think it is important that new blood and enthusiasm have their chance and as such the Exec committee feel a Vice Chair role should be created, as I will be looking to step down following next year’s season. If you are interested in voluntering then please get in touch.

A big pat on the back to us all and you are allowed to brag!!
