The mood swing appears to be between a light, floating and euphoric state, which is almost like flying and a state of oversensitivty, where everything grates on the nerves.
The euphoria almost feels like a spiritual trance, and there is a desire for genuine understanding, coming from the feeling that the state is too etherial. The sadness comes with a state of fragility, prostration and despair. There is not enough energy to bring anything to completion.

Discussion
There are several Leprous Rx in the plant kingdom [lact, led, aloe, cic, cur, grat, hura]. How do you differentiate between these?
Rajan uses the sensation. Paul Herscu uses a closely related idea - psychosomatic segments. A segment is a conceptual representation of part of a remedy picture that pervades both the menatal/emotional sphere and the generalities. Combine this with Rajan's thinking and you have a chair with three (or more!) legs.

For example, its indicated in febrile conditions; in fevers of an intermitting type, and also in rheumatic gastric, bilious, traumatic and typhoid fevers, in all of which, gastric symptoms are prominent.
Symptoms develop slowly. The main action is on parts which have to do with motion. It inflames membranes such as the pleura, the menininges, tendons and connective tissue causing sharp stabbing pains. The membranes become dry and you feel extremely thirsty.
Image: The dryness of Bryonia is seen in his personality, the free flow of emotions is blocked and repressed. He is usually pragmatic, down-to-earth, hard working and independant.
