Message from Jeffrey Daniel Sat 28th May 2005

This is Jeffrey Daniel, the original U.K. Body Popper of Shalamar wanting to thank all of you who voted for Shalamar during our appearance on "Hit Me baby One More Time". Although we didn't win the contest, we won the show. All the best to Shakey Stevens and the other great artist who appeared on the show and have established their careers over the years too.

I'm very glad that Vijay has supplied us with a long over due place to communicate and keep up with what's happening with Shalamar and your input and mails too.

As some of you know by now, i live in Osaka, Japan where i run my production company J-Pan Soul. I have discovered some great talent there and hope to soon present my artist to the world. Also, I’d like to produce artist on this end of the world too.

What did you all think of our new female member Carolyn Griffey? She is the daughter of Dick Griffey and Carrie Lucas. Dick Griffey is the man who founded Solar Records and Shalamar and Carrie Lucas was also a Solar recording artist. So, Carolyn isn't just some girl we found to replace the former female member, she's been around us as we were building Shalamar and Carolyn has always been a great Shalamar fan and friend.

I had the privilege of choreographing a song for Carolyn when she formed a female duo group named "Absolute" about 1990. So, we have a long history together and I’m very glad to have Carolyn be a part of Shalamar.

We're now holding talks for a tour coming your way very soon, so keep posted and i hope to perform live for you in the near future.

I guess I’m typing too much so I’ll wait to hear from you and try my best to reply as soon as possible. As we say on the West Coast, Holla Back!
