Another Win For Bristow 24/11/05

Faded darts superstar Eric Bristow, who was once the best darts player in the world and who is still a popular darting personality, had another victory today, but, this time in court. In April of this year his wife, Jane had made an allegation against him saying that he had punched her in the face at their family home in Leek. Later she had tried to withdraw the allegation but the Department of Public Prosecutions had decided to proceed with the case against Bristow anyway. The case was not proved and Bristow was released with no blot on his record. Outside the court afterwards a relieved Bristow commented that his wife had got a new man and she just wanted a divorce. He added that he would now give her that.
