Bayer
Sunday 1 v 10 Bottisham Sunday V.B.
Trophies League Cup, 1st round
Classy
performance by Bottisham Sunday
Bottisham
Sunday cruised through to the 2nd round of the V.B Trophies League
Cup with a decisive win over Cambridge rivals Bayer Sunday. Goals
from Scott White (2) Williams, Mascall and Grant saw Bottisham
sail into a 5-0 lead at half time, they continued to dominate
after the interval, with further goals from Scott White, Mead,
Bromley and Williams. Bayer then scored a well deserved consolation
goal before Shane White scored the goal of the match with a 25yd
thunderbolt to complete the 10-1 rout. The man of the match though
goes to D Stanbridge for his dominance in midfield - an old head
on young legs.

Bar Hill Rsvs 4 v 2 Bottisham Sunday 4A
League Game
Bottisham
loses unbeaten run
Bottisham failed to run off several hangovers in this top
of the table clash and were punished 4-2 by Bar Hill. Bottisham
playing without several key players went ahead with a well taken
headed goal from Scott White but went in 2-1 down at half time.
Player manager Dave Stanbridge went on for the injured Phil Webb
and from then on the game changed. Bottisham dominated the 2nd
half but another defensive mistake saw Bar Hill go 3-1 up, chance
after chance went begging before Chris Grant pulled a goal back.
Phil Mead hit the post with a cracking shot near the end but the
home side put the game beyond doubt with the last kick of the
game. A very bad result for Bottisham and until the players show
the same commitment as the managerial staff further results are
bound to follow.

X.M.V.C. Dolphin 3 v 2 Bottisham Sunday V.B.
Trophies League Cup , 2nd round
*Game awarded to Bottisham Sunday*
Bottisham
loses classic
Bottisham lost 3-2 after extra time against X.M.V.C.Dolphins.
Bottisham again without 6 regular players put up a great performance
but found themselves going a goal behind when a cross into the
danger zone somehow found its way into the net, Bottisham responded
well and equalised when a Lol Mascal header that hit the bar was
put away by the ever dangerous Scott White. Bottisham missed a
couple of glorious chances to go ahead, with Phil Mead having
a great game down the left wing.
Half-time 1-1. In the second half Dolphins started well and was
rewarded with a well taken headed goal but Bottisham came back
again and took the game into extra time when R.Newman equalised.
Scott Billington was superb in the centre of defence as they kept
the home side at bay but the Dolphins again had a lucky break
when another cross found its way into the net. again Bottisham
rallied and nearly took the game to penaltys when the keeper pushed
a shot onto the bar with the last kick of the game. A great all
round performance and a good entertaining match from both sides
and we wish X.M.V.C. Dolphins good luck in the next round

Bottisham Sunday 2 v 0 Kings Meadow Crusaders Cambs
FA Sunday Centenary Cup, 1st round
Poor
display puts Bottisham through
A very scrappy game saw Bottisham Sunday advance into the
2nd round of the Centenary cup. Bottisham welcomed back R . Newman,
T.Bromley and keeper J.Haynes who was never called upon, chances
were very far and few between as bottisham tried to get the passing
game into gear but it never really happened, although they did
have a couple of shots cleared of the line the score remained
0-0 at half time. Bottisham continued to dominate in the 2nd half
and when leading scorer Scott White picked up the ball on the
half way line and ran the legs off the defence before slotting
the ball under the keeper Bottisham thought that the flood gates
would happen but good defending from the visiters kept them at
bay, a cracking 30yd shot from Darren Williams was well saved
by the keeper and the match was decided by an own goal 10 minutes
from time. Final score- Bottisham 2 Kings Meadow Crusaders 0

Bottisham Sunday 1 v 0 Exning Road Working Mens Club 4A
League Game
What
a battle
Bottisham continued their good run of form despite losing
their goalkeeper(Phil Webb)through injury (45min), with 2 other
players suffering with flu this was always going to be a struggle
and a struggle it was. Bottisham was lucky not to go a goal behind
when the visiters hit the bar in the early stages but that was
going to be their only chance of the game as Tom Bromley "s back
four held firm. Phil Mead again was always a threat going down
the left wing but it was a half of very few chances. It was always
going to be a game of battle rather than quality. Bottisham always
seemed to have the edge but had to wait until 10 minutes from
time to clinch the victory that they deserved. After a tactical
move made by manager Dave Stanbridge Bottisham played 3 at the
back and moved Ben Hubbard up front as Bottisham went for victory,
the move was well rewarded and within 5 minutes Kev Vallis ran
on to a good through ball by Lol Mascall and calmly slotted it
to the right of the keeper. Tempers flared throughout the 2nd
half as Bottisham pushed forward to try and put the game well
beyond Exnings reach but all credit goes to the visiters defence
for standing firm. It was a good hard game in which Bottisham
deserved their victory. MAN OF THE MATCH---- TOM BROMLEY (never
missed a thing)

Bottisham Sunday 1 v 1 Flying Pig V.B. Trophies League
Cup, 3rd round
Bottisham
sends Pigs Flying
Bottisham (4a) progressed through to the 4th round of the league
cup after a superb performance saw off 2a opponents Flying Pig
after a nailbiting penalty shoot out. The defence of White, Williams,
Turner and Shrubbs were quite brilliant as the dealt with any
threat with ease. It was always going to be a game of 2 halfs
and it was Bottisham playing with the wind behind them that dictated
the early play and went ahead when ever threatning striker Taz
Chisango pounced on a mistake by the visiters keeper. Ben Hubbard
was a constant threat along with Phil Mead as Bottisham went for
the 2nd but it was not to come. H/T BOTTISHAM 1 FLYING PIG 0 The
2nd half was a different story as Flying Pig pushed more forward,
looking for the equalizer but Bottisham helled firm. Flying Pig
got their deserved goal midway through the 2nd half but it was
Bottisham that created the better chances. It was level and extra
time loomed. In a very even extra time , there was going to be
no more goals scored. Penalty's, what a nightmare. John Turner,
Shane White, Darren Williams and James Shrubbs had all kept their
nerve as both sides scored their 1st 4 spot kicks but then up
steps secret weapon keeper Scott "Bartez" Billington, the unsung
hero, to save their 5th penalty. What a time to make it and with
goal machine Taz to shoot, was there any doubt, not really, it
was a cool finish and Bottisham were through. " I was so proud
of all the boys today, this was a great result for us " said trainer/
manager Dave Stanbridge. FINAL SCORE BOTTISHAM 1 FLYING PIG 1

FA Sunday Centenary Cup, 2nd round
Bottisham
suffer
Bottisham suffered only their 2nd defeat of the season when they
went down 2-1 at home to top of 4a team Shelford Falcons.Bottisham
found they were without any strike force at all and 2 key midfielders
had got the flu so it was a game of very few chances. It was Shelford
who put Bottisham on the back foot early on and they nearly went
ahead with a good shot that pulled off a brilliant save from home
keeper Josh Haynes, they also hit the bar midway through the half.
Bottisham then started to raise their game but the score remained
0-0 at the interval. Bottisham got well on top at the start of
the 2nd half and found themselves very unlucky when they went
behind after a dubious penalty, many players and the linesman
said the challenge was well outside the area, but the referee
had already made up his mind. Bottisham carried on battling and
had 2 glorious chances to win the match when Phil Mead twice took
the ball around 2 or 3 players had had great shots only to see
Shelfords keeper bring off 2 brilliant saves. Unlucky Bottisham,
well done Shelford in a good, fair game and good luck in the next

Netherhall Kitsonians 1 v 4 Bottisham Sunday Shelford
Energy Cup, 2nd round
Bottisham
hammer Netherhall
Bottisham Sunday progressed to the 3rd round of the Shelford Energy
Cup with a superb 4-1 win over Netherhall Kitsonians. Bottisham
playing without several key players due to injury , flu or just
couldn't be bothered to turn up found themselves taking only 11
players but they started the better of the 2 sides and played
a great passing game but found themselves going 1-0 down after
20 mins, Bottisham playing uphill and with the bright sun in their
eyes held Kits to 1-0 at half time. The 2nd half was totally dominated
by Bottisham with forever young Dave Stanbridge having a quality
game in midfield along with Newman & Grant, the pressure paid
off when Shane White playing up front for the 1st time unleashed
a unstoppable shot from 30yds to equalise, but that was only the
start, Darren Williams then scored a superb half volley again
from 30 yrds and added his 2nd soon afterwards when he beat 2
players before crashing a shot pass the home keeper. I don't think
I will ever see 3 goals like that again scored in a space of 15
minutes. Bottisham then finished the rout when Phil Mead scored
with a brave header 10 minutes from time. The defence of Turner,
Shrubbs, Bromley and Billington played well and snuffed out any
threat and the final result was Bottisham 4 Netherhall 1.

Bottisham Sunday 6 v 0 Bar Hill Rsvs 4A
League Game
Bottisham
hammer league leaders
Bottisham Sunday produced one of their best performances of the
season when they hammered league leaders Bar Hill for six. What
a difference 7 days make, last week Bottisham played joint leaders
Ely Park Rangers and was unlucky not to get a result, we had no
luck from start to finish. Today we were without leading goalscorer
Scott White but welcomed back defender Tom Bromley and midfielder
Phil Mead. Shane White started the scoring with a well taken glancing
header midway through the 1st half and the scoreline remained
1-0 at h/t. In the 2nd half Bottisham raised their game and dominated
over all areas of the pitch, the defence of Williams , Bromley,
Turner and Shrubbs, were never troubled and keeper Haynes was
never tested, midfield of Mascal, Grant, White and Newman were
in total control and created chance after chance but Bottisham
had to wait till midway through the 2nd half before they were
rewarded, Phil Mead got behind the defence and slotted the ball
under the advancing keeper, he then got his 2nd when he was put
through by his striking partner Chisango, and it was the 3rd goal
that knocked the stuffing out of Bar Hill, Chisango added the
4th after a mistake by the keeper and Phil Mead completed the
rout with another 2 goals. A great performance and a well deserved
victory.

Sawston Keys 2 v 3 Bottisham Sunday V.B.
Trophies League Cup, 4th round
GIANT
KILLERS BOTTISHAM
Bottisham Sunday caused a major upset when they beat premier
league outfit Sawston Keys in the 4th round of the league cup,
a result they thoroughly deserved. On a very muddy pitch it was
Bottisham that started better of the two sides and they went 1-0
up with a 20yd strike from midfielder Shane White, Sawston raised
their game and were unlucky not to equalise on a number of occasions
, the pressure finally paid off and they equalised midway through
the 1st half but then a good tactical move by manager Dave Stanbridge
seem to change the game. Bottisham now playing 5 in midfield with
Chris Grant playing the anchor man snuffed out many a Sawston
threat.Bottisham then went 2-1 up when Taz Chisango pounced on
a good through ball by Grant and drilled it pass the advancing
keeper and the score remained 1-2 till h/t. One thing Bottisham
did not want to happen was to concede an early goal after the
break but a defensive error led to an equalizer just 2mins into
the 2nd half but Bottisham slogged it through the mud with the
back four of Williams, Bromley, Turner and Shrubbs looking solid
and hardworking midfielders White, Mascal, Grant , Mead and Kevin
and loan striker Taz Chisango who never gave up the cause gradually
winning the battle one could sense that a shock was always on
the cards. the score remained 2-2 at f/t. In e/t it was always
going to be a case of whoever scored the next goal would win the
match and who should pop up and win the match but old Sawston
Keys player Lol Mascal, who had crept his way into the box unmarked
and put the ball into the corner of the net . Bottisham dealt
with every threat Sawston threw at them, they never stopped working
from start to finish and ended up well deserved winners. Congratulations
lads, you all done us proud.

Bar Hill Rsvs 1 v 3 Bottisham Sunday Shelford Energy Cup,
Third round
Where
was the ref?
Bottisham
continued their great run when they reached there 2nd q/f place
in 2 weeks with a great win against there main league rivals BAR
hill in the shelford energy cup. After a late kick off due to
the referee not turning up, it was Bar Hill that started the better
and went 1-0 up after 20 mins, but gradually Bottisham worked there
way into the match and soon equlised with a cracking free kick
by Chris Grant. How the match needed a ref, several nasty challenges
were going unpunished as the match was getting over heated but
Bottisham kept their cool and let their football do the talking,
the score remained 1-1 at h/t. Bottisham raised their game in
the 2nd half and created some great chances but again some dubious
decisions stopped them from total dominance. Chris Grant soon
scored his 2nd and from then on the result was never in doubt.
It was always going to be a battle and there wasn't much football
being played. With the defence again looking real solid and the
midfield winning the battle and creating several chances for the
strikers it was only a matter of time before Bottisham scored
a 3rd and it came after a great run by Taz Chisango led to him
pulling the ball back for Robbie Newman to score from an acute
angle. A great battling performance from a depleted Bottisham
side now sees them with a q/f match against local side Godolphin.
Well played lads you all did us proud.

Bottisham without several key players dominated the game from
start to finish and went in at the interval 7-1 up with further
goals from Williams, Mead and a superb diving header from Man
of the match Dave Stanbridge, a true master whose experience in
midfield was invaluable. In the 2nd half Bottishams manager and
again man of the match pushed leading goalscorer Scott White from
centre half to centre forward , a superb tactiful move and White
scored a second half hatrick. Manager Stanbridge (scorer and man

Ickleton
2 v 5 Bottisham Sunday V.B. Trophies League Cup, Quarter
finals
Bottisham
strolls into semi's
Bottisham continued their great run of form with a convincing
win over 2b side Ickleton.Very windy conditions made it hard work
for both teams, and with Bottisham having the advantage in the
1st half, it wasn't long before they went ahead. Darren Williams
pouncing onto a loose ball after good work by Phil Mead. It was
all one way traffic as Bottisham took full advantage of the blustery
conditions and went further ahead when Shane White fed Kevin Vallis
in midfield and he hammered the ball into the net from 25 yds.Bottisham
playing with great flare soon scored a 3rd when ever threatening
Taz Chisango was set up by Scott White and he gave the home keeper
no chance as he thundered the ball home from 20yds. The score
remained 3-0 at h/t. It was always going to be a game of 2 halves
and for a short time Bottisham were put on the back foot, Ickleton
pulled a goal back after 10 mins and manager Dave Stanbridge was
forced to change formation, now playing 4-5-1. Bottisham defended
a lot better, with defenders Turner, Bromley, Billington and Shrubbs
dealing with any threat that that the home side was producing. With
Bottisham happy to soak up any pressure and to hit Ickleton on
the break, Phil Mead made use of the defence backing off and went
on one of his never-give-up runs before coolly slipping the ball
under the advancing keeper. Giving a lot of credit to Ickleton,
they never give up the fight and pulled a goal back after a rare
bad mistake by Bromley.. With the score at 4-2 Bottisham again
rallied and finished the strongest side and their effots were
well rewarded when leading goal scorer Scott White pounced inside
the area to make the winning scrore line 5-2. Another great performance
by Bottisham, they have now beat 2 Div 4b sides, 2 Div 2b sides
and a Senior league side to reach the semi's, WELL DONE !!!

Sunday 7 v 0 Godolphin Shelford
Energy Cup, Quarter finals
Bottisham
hits Godolphin for 7
Bottisham
Sunday strolled into their 2nd semi final in 2 weeks as they beat
Godolphin 7-0. Bottisham played some of their best football of
the season early in the 1st half and it was plain to see that
they wanted this win and to continue their great season. Phil
Mead started the rout when he picked up the ball in his own half
and outpaced the visiters defence before slipping the ball under
the 'keeper and it was Mead again that caused havoc when he was
brought down in the area after beating 3 defenders, up stepped
Shane White who gave the keeper no chance from the penalty spot.
Bottisham were well on top, the defence of Turner, Billington,
White, Shrubbs and 'keeper Haynes were never put under any pressure
and the score remained 2-0 at h/t. Godolphin came out in the 2nd
half with all guns a blazing but Bottisham weathered the storm
well and it was against the run of play when Robbie Newman gave
the keeper no chance from 25yds, if anybody deserved a goal it
was Robbie, never did he stopped running from start to finish
and with Lol Maskell, playing his 1st game back after injury,
in the anchor roll, Bottisham started to take control. It was
midway through the 2nd half till 'keeper Haynes had a shot to
save when he dived full length to push the ball around the post.
Scott White caused many a problem to the visiters defence and
his constant battling was well rewarded when he latched on to
a good through ball and buried it under the advancing keeper.
Scott then soon added another 3 goals in 10 minutes as Godolphin
were hammered into submission. This was Scott White's 2nd 4 timer
in 3 weeks. surely a lively contender for the golden boot in the
Cambs Sunday League. A brilliant result for Bottisham, and congratulations
to Godolphin who never gave up the fight.

Bottisham Sunday 2 v 1 Godolphin
Bottisham
continue superb run
Bottisham
Sunday continued there great run of form when they beat Godolphin
2-1 in a game that was dictated by the wind. It was always going
to be a difficult game for Bottisham and they did well to hold
the visiters in the 1st half. Godolphin with the wind in their
favour struggled to create any chances, Bottisham's defence was
as solid as a rock and it was the home side that created the best
chances. The main ploy was to hold them in the 1st half and then
have a real go at Godolphin after the break. The score remained
0-0 H/T.
It never took very long after the break for Bottisham to go ahead
When Taz Chisango took the ball around the keeper and slotted
the ball into the net from an acute angle,Bottisham were well
on top and Chris Grant had a good effort hit the post. A good
attack by Godolphin saw them rerwarded for their effort when Scott
Billington brought down a player and a penelty was awarded, a
rare chance, but a well taken penalty saw Godolphin level. The
wind and rain ruined what could of been a good game, but Bottisham
could sense that the game was there for the taking and it was
leading goalscorer Scott White that put the game beyond Godolphin,
a critical finish . Phil Mead then decided to go on one of his
runs and was unlucky not to score, bringing off a good save by
the keeper and when Robbie Newman fed the ball to White , HE TURNED
AND RAN AT THE BACK FOUR AND WAS BROUGHT DOWN IN THE AREA. Penalty.
UP he got and --------------MISSED. Bottisham struggled to tottaly
dominate this game and there was not that much good football being
played by either side but Bottisham were worthy winners.

Bottisham
Sunday 19 v 0 Chatteris Palace 4A
League Game
What
a waste of time
Bottisham
played this game without several key players but that never stopped
them sending Chatteris back to the fens feeling totally humiliated.
Leading goalscorer Scott White scored 7 (seven), brother Shane
3, Taz Chisango 2, Chris Grant 1, Lol Mascal 1, Tom Bromley 2,
Keeper Josh Haynes 1, and Rob Newman 1 . 19-0 was the final result.
It really wasn't worth getting out of bed for. The shooting practice
and training session will have done us good as next week we have
got the cruncher match of the season against league leaders Ely
Park Rangers.

Bottisham
Sunday 3 v 3 Tally Ho V.B. Trophies League Cup, Semi finals
What a classic
Bottisham gave Tally Ho the scare of their lives this morning
in a match that can only be described as superb, both teams were
a credit to the halls football league. It was Tally Ho that started
the better of the 2 sides, but good defending and superb keeping
from Josh Haynes kept them at bay. with the very strong wind,
Bottisham had the advantage in the 1st half and went ahead through
a well taken goal from Taz Chisango but Tally Ho was always a
threat, it was a great battle from start to finish and it was
Bottishams leading goal scorer Scott White that added to his Tally
(punt). Now 2-0 up against the best Cambridge side, great. The
lead was short lived however and TallY scored with the last kick
off the 1st half, a quick free kick appeared to come of a players
ass and straight into the path of the winger whose shot then trickled
over the line. A crucial goal at a crucial time. H/T 2-1
Bottisham prepared themselves for an onslaught in the 2nd half
but it never came, we matched them in every sense of the word
but they drew level with just 10min remaining. Extra time Bottisham
playing with the wind found it hard to make the advantage tell
and it was TallY that drew 1st blood, against the wind, down but
not out again Bottisham bounced back, this time through James
Shrubbs , 3-3. Bottisham then had the best chance of the game
when Scott White pounced on a through ball and his shot went inches
wide with just 2 min left on the clock.
Penaltys - What an awful way to decide a clasic match. Josh Haynes
saved the first 2 penaltys, we again were in the driving seat,
then Tom Bromley missed, then at the end of it all it was down
to no other than leading scorer Scott White to put us through
to the final, but even one of the best scorers in the cambs league
can miss and miss he did, after 5 penaltys it was all level, and
at sudden death it was Bottisham that missed the 1st penalty.
The Bottisham manager would just like to say a huge well done
to all the players, you were all heros on the day, and well done
to TALLY HO, any side that can bounce back not once but twice,
decerves their success. I said that we would give you a game,
and we did.
GOOD LUCK IN THE FINAL

Jolly Boys v Bottisham Sunday Shelford Energy Cup, Semi
finals
Bottisham through to 1st final
What a funny old game this football is ! 2 wks ago we played Ely,
drew 1-1, played great, very very unlucky, last week played Tally
Ho, played great and could , no, should have won, this week another
semi-final, played c---p yet won 2-3. It was always going to be
hard to raise ourselves after the last 2 games but if that is
one thing that Bottisham do is that they never give up. It was
one of the worst games this season. I only hope that the long
season isn't starting to take its toll. Leading goalscorer Scott
White put Bottisham ahead, against the run of play, when he rounded
the defender and hammered the ball home after 25 mins but the
lead was short lived and Jollies equalised, H-T 1-1.
After harsh words from manager Dave Stanbridge, Bottisham started
the better in the 2nd half and were well rewarded when Kev Vallis
sent a screamer from 30yrds that gave the keeper no chance, with
better defending and the midfield getting on top bottisham tried
hard to stamp there superiority on the game but it just was not
happening. With 10 minutes left a mistake in the defence led to
the jollies equalising only for bottisham to come roaring back
, again through Kev Vallis. Bottisham deserved there win, just,
and now look forward to a final against arch enermies Ely Park
Rangers Res,. Lets only hope that this time the league provides
Linesmen and a ref that are up for the course. Well done lads
you deserve some glory.

Bottisham
Sunday 3 v 1 Exning United Rsvs 4A
League Game
A poor performance from Bottisham saw them dominate a game against
Exning but with very little to show for it. Bottisham, missing
four 1st team players, who were being rested for the final, a
'confident Arsene Wwenger' like decision made by player manager
Dave Stanbridge - took the lead through Phil Mead after playing
a neat 1 2 with skipper Scott White on the edge of the box, however
slack play from bottisham saw exning draw level with a lucky deflected
shot.
In the second half Bottisham still lacked the creation they usually
provide for the front two but managed to again take the lead through
Meads second who was put through with a header from striker White.
The game was then put beyond Exning when White got one for himself
after pouncing on a weak back pass from the ever moaning right
back of Exning, 'concentrate on yer football mate rather than
about us trying to tickle I mean tackle yer unfairly'. Bottisham
now await ther cup final with Ely in 2 weeks, c'mon the boys.

Bottisham
Sunday 3 v 1 Ely Park Rangers Reserves Shelford
Energy Cup Final
Bottisham trounce Ely P R R
Bottisham gained sweet revenge on Ely yesterday with an awesome
display. Leading goal scorer Scott White scored all 3 goals .
It was always going to be a physical match but give credit to
both sides the game was played with good spirit and the only thing
that marred the game was Elys supporters constantly threatened,
pushed and spat at the Bottisham players at h-t and again at full
time. How bl--dy pathetic. anyway , back to the game. Ely started
the strongest in the opening 15 min but could not find the breakthrough,
the defence of turner, Bromley,Billington and Shrubbs and keeper
Haynes looking as solid as ever it wasnt long before Bottisham
started to play, Midfielders White and Newman were superb with
their constant running and tackling.
The game was turning and Bottisham made their breakthrough when
Scott White headed home from a corner and the game remained 1-0
h/t. In the 2nd half Ely had one of their very rare attacks and
equalised with a well taken header but Bottisham was in no mood
to give up the cup and soonthey went ahead when White burried
a second header this time from a good cross from Vallence. Phil
Mead, who had a quiet 1st half started to get in the game and
caused a lot of problems for Elys defence.
Player manager then made the move of the match when he introduced
super sub Taz Chisango into the action, a move that changed the
whole match. Ely had no answer and not a prayer , with Taz taking
on the whole defence they could not cope with his skill or his
speed. Bottisham had run the legs of Ely and they had nothing
more to give. White soon completed his hat-trick when he ran onto
a through ball, a 1 on 1 with the keeper, it was a case of who
had the most bottle, need I say anymore.
Bottisham kept pressing forward and Shrubbs nearly scored when
his header was cleared off the line and White also should of scored
his fourth. It was a great win and it was well deserved, well
played Ely for a good game.

Cambridge
Cosmos Rsvs 1 v 4 Bottisham Sunday 4A
League Game
Bottisham's
fine run continues
Bottisham followed their midweek 4-3 victory over Chippenham with
another good 4-1 win this time over Cosmos. In the first 20 mins
it looked as if the long season was starting to take control and
Cosmos soon went 1-0 up. Bottisham struggled to get their passing
game going and it wasn't until golden boot boy Scott White equalised
that Bottisham began to play. With 5 players out Bottisham gradually
took control and after manager Dave Stanbridge made some changes
in midfield the result was never in doubt. Chris Grant put the
Bott's boys 2-1 up, with a well taken penalty. Player-manager
had the shot of the match with a delightful chip that hit the
crossbar from 25 yds. It was only a matter of time before Bottisham
went further ahead when Taz Chisango set up Scott White for his
second, and then a bad defensive error let in Scott White for
his hat-trick. It was a fair result and a lot of credit goes to
Cosmos for never giving up the fight. Final score 1-4
