Match Reports

11th September 2004 Bottisham 5 - 4 Soham Town Colts
Last season Soham Town gave us our toughest matches, putting a total of 17 goals past us, so a defensive strategy was essential if the lads were to start the season with confidence. The strong wind was a big factor in this game and Bottisham kicked off playing into it.
Barely two minutes later and Bottisham were 1-0 down after a long range effort from the visitors No.7 squeezed through the defence. The play continued deep in Bottisham's half, with Lewis particularly reading the game well to snuff out a series of attacks. After 10 minutes Josiah broke through for the teams' first real attack, their defender covering the ground well to deny him the shot. A counter-attack followed but Brad was in the right place to deny their striker his chance.
After about 12 minutes, Soham got their second goal, caused by a muddle in defensive. A soft goal to concede and it seemed to affect the lads' confidence. Lewis really did seem to be on fire though, and ran the ball deep into the opponents half with real determination - if only he'd got support sooner we might've been celebrating. Instead, another fierce shot from Soham was cleverly deflected by an unmarked forward in the box, leaving Chris with no chance of saving it. The score at half time was 3-0 to the visitors.
The second half saw a big improvement in the team's performance, with two minutes gone, James controlled Josiah's cross before turning the ball into the net. 3-1.The comeback had started. Having the wind behind the team was a big plus - minutes later a corner was awarded and Josiah whipped the ball straight into the goal. 3-2. Next, James found himself by the visitors' corner flag, he patiently worked himself into a shooting position and took a shot which bobbled and went under the 'keeper. 3-3.
The boys were beginning to play as a unit now, starting to believe they could win and when Josiah jinked past two players and unleashed a rocket of a shot to get the fourth goal the Bottisham spectators thought we'd won it. Soham came back at us though, a speculative shot went high and the wind held the ball in the air before it dropped to Chris who parried it into the path of the Soham striker who took his chance well. "We'll settle for a draw…it's probably the fairest result", we thought, but Soham hadn't finished and a swift counter-attack saw us lose the lead and the game with 3 minutes left on the clock.
A thrilling game to watch, both teams played well in terribly windy conditions. Well done lads - a few less defensive errors and we'll have a good season.
Special thanks to Paul for his competent refereeing.

18th September 2004 Burwell Swallows 5-2 Bottisham
On a sunny but windy morning Burwell started brighter with some neat passing through our sleepy defence. Our boys seemed to be dreaming as the home team won their first corner. The ball was fumbled in at the near post - claimed by their No 6 - a soft goal to concede so early in the game but it served to wake up the team. The Swallows could have gone two up minutes later when a striker only had the 'keeper to beat, but Chris rushed out to meet him and did enough to see the ball roll past the post harmlessly.
Our first chance fell to one of our new signings, George. A corner from James went to Ben, whose nifty footwork in the penalty area made space to enable him to tee up George, his fierce shot hitting the post. The game began to open up and the ball was moving from end to end rapidly. Chris made a point-blank save at our end then James saw his left foot strike drift wide at theirs. Then followed another goal from a corner for the home team, almost a carbon copy of the first. Our defence were more alive to the danger this time but still seemed wrong-footed by the delivery. Then it dawned on us - the right footed corner kicker was placing the ball wide to avoid running into the corner flag which was at a rather jaunty angle. This was opening up the goal to him and giving our defence real problems. 2-0 to the home team.
Just before half-time a clearance from the 'keeper fell to their striker who duly converted to make the score 3-0. A disappointing first half performance but we were 3-0 down at half-time last week and nearly won that game so we know the boys had it in them to turn the game around.
As predicted, the team came out stronger in the second half, with some great linking play between Lewis, Brad, Josiah and George moving the ball through their defence. A surging run from Lewis on the left flank exposed the Swallows defence, but the support was slow to arrive and the chance was lost. Moments later Lewis was clearing the ball off our own line. Some fantastic individual play followed from Josiah, taking it past three before slotting the ball through to George, who was screaming for it, a perfect pass which George had no trouble putting in the net. 3-1.
Our celebrations were short-lived as we got caught trying to play the ball out of defence, their No 10 made it 4-1. The midfield and attack were really getting their act together though - Connor and Ben really playing well in particular, both getting shots on target. Next came the goal of the match - Josiah floated in a great corner, Ben rose and powerfully headed it past the helpless 'keeper. 4-2. In the last minutes of play their No 5.scored from a throw-in. Final score 5-2 to Burwell Swallows.
Special mentions to the new signings George and Nicholas for their efforts today. Well done all of you.

6th November 2004 Bottisham 0-9 Ellesmere Eagles
Sometimes a team is outclassed by a much stronger team and you can only give credit to them. Such was the case today as our boys were played off the park by the skilful Eagles. Some of the boys were adjusting to playing in new roles for the team, and so there was a degree of unfamiliarity amongst the team, but if you can't try your players in different positions in a non-competitive league fixture then when can you?
The first seven minutes of the match were defensive, Brad and James equal to the Eagles attacks, until Chris's goal-kick was intercepted by an Eagle, who cleverly passed the ball to the winger, whose shot couldn't be held by Chris. 1-0 to the Eagles. A fantastic solo effort from Josiah saw him skip past three players before his shot buried itself into the side-netting. George had positioned himself well for the cross so it must go down as a chance wasted. Another chance to draw level fell to Edward who couldn't latch on to Josiah's corner kick. The Eagles countered swiftly, the ball swept into the penalty box for a simple tap-in. The goal was simple but the build-up play was impressive - and worrying.
After 17 minutes it became 3-0, the Eagles frequent attacks punctuated with another great run from Josiah, who failed to offload it and became crowded out. The Eagles fourth goal was a screamer from the left wing, a great shot. Ben was reading the game well, his alertness breaking down attacks before they got started. Connor too, was having a good spell, displaying good ball skills and calmness. The visitors collected a fifth goal after the ball had bounced around the goal-mouth just before half-time.
The second half began with a good piece of interplay between Nick, Lewis and Ben - all three looking to play the ball quickly to feet. A corner to Bottisham led to the Eagles sixth goal, the clearance releasing two strikers. As sole defender at this point, William didn't have a chance and the ball was slotted past Chris. Chris made a couple of fine saves to keep the score down until an Eagles corner produced the seventh goal. Two more goals, one from a flowing attack, the other from a right wing shot brought the visitors' haul to nine. A last-minute flurry saw four Eagles players descend upon our goalmouth - it was good to see Brad in the thick of it, doing enough to thwart them.
It was encouraging too, to see the boys play some of their best football at this point, as if they were determined not to let the score go to double figures. They showed great character to provide resistance up until the final whistle.
Some positives from this match were that Lewis is settling into a midfield role and James and Brad are working very well together in defence.

18th December 2004 Red Lodge Bombers 1-7 Bottisham
On a bright but bitterly cold morning the game began with James in goal, William and Edward in defence, Josiah, Nick and Chris in midfield and Ben as striker. The team started well, Josiah working hard as always and earning a corner on 2 minutes. Ben had time to set himself up for an overhead kick but it went wide. After about 5 minutes the Bombers got their first chance of the match, their striker robbing Edward and firing off a shot that hit the post. At the opposite end, Josiah's shot spun wildly off a defender and came off the post. Another scare for Bottisham came on 12 minutes, our defenders admiring the skills of their striker rather than stopping him! Brad and Lewis came on for William and Edward then back at the Bomber's end their 'keeper pulled off a fantastic save, punching the ball over the bar.
A half-chance fell to Nick but the ball wouldn't go in for us. On 22 minutes, a Red Lodge player turned his ankle and had to leave the field. From the restart Chris sped up the wing, released Ben with perfect timing. Brad wasn't putting a foot wrong in defence, making some great clearances when the home team threatened. Lewis was passing the ball well, linking up with both Ben and Josiah. An opportunity for their No.3 could've put the bombers in the lead but it trickled wide. Our chance to go 1-0 up at half-time was denied by their 'keeper who made another tremendous save.
At half-time the score was 0-0, the majority of play was in the Bombers half but the chances were even. Second half started with Josiah in goal, Lewis and James in defence, Brad and George in midfield and Tommy and Ben in attack. Bottisham really began to play this half, Ben's cross giving George a good chance before George set up Tom for our first goal with a killer pass. The Bombers were fighting back well, a free-kick to them producing a corner, which was cleared by Brad. With three of our 'big kickers' on the pitch - James, Brad and Lewis - Tom and Ben were getting plenty of service and it was only a matter of time before Tommy got his second goal.
After 13 minutes their No 3 had to be replaced through injury - possibly the second casualty of a lumpy pitch. When play restarted Tommy dragged three players wide before putting in a great cross to Brad, who was denied by their excellent 'keeper. James was firing on all cylinders and put a great cross in to Tommy, who pulled the ball down and slotted the ball home for his hat-trick. Another cross from Tommy went straight to the far post and Brad ghosted in to volley it home to make the score 4-0. Tommy was terrorising the opposition now, wriggling through their challenges and sensibly laying the ball off to team-mates with deft flicks. Edward and William came back on for Ben and Brad and Chris replaced Josiah in goal, just in time to see James huge shot cruelly bounce over the 'keepers head to make it 5-0. Tommy jinked his way through on two more occasions to collect his fourth and fifth goals, before our regular 'keeper, Chris, was caught out of position and Red Lodge got a consolation goal.
Well done boys and well done Red Lodge Bombers - despite the score-line they gave us some problems on the break in the first half and their 'keeper had a great game.

8th January 2005 NST Strikers 4-4 Bottisham
Despite the excesses of the Christmas break, the team were eager to get going, inspired perhaps by their new strip. The home team kicked off, playing into the strong wind, with Bottisham playing Chris, Brad, Edward, Josiah, Thomas, Connor and Ben for the first half. With barely 2 minutes gone, Thomas released Ben, their 'keeper rushed out of his area to challenge for the ball and Ben bravely committed himself to the tackle, taking a knock in the process. The resulting drop-ball was cleared to safety by the home team.
After 5 minutes, the Strikers got their first chance, our defence allowing them to cross into the centre, before sending a shot wide. A defensive error resulted in a goal for NST a minute later, the ball being shepherded back to Chris, who knew he couldn't pick up what was effectively a back-pass. 1-0 to NST Strikers.
Our reply was magnificent - Brad cleared a corner to Thomas, who ran upfield, dragging their defender to him before crossing the ball to Ben, who slotted the ball home. 1-1. Not to be outdone, the home team sent the ball through the centre of our defence, their No7 slipping the ball past Chris to restore the lead. Connor, who was having a good game, saw his shot hit the upright on 10 minutes, the ball was then taken up to our end and the longest goalmouth scramble I have ever witnessed took place. How we didn't concede a goal I don't know but it was a turning point in the game as a minute later an excellent corner-kick from Josiah produced a bullet header from Ben to level the scores.
After the re-start Thomas's shot was spilt by the 'keeper, Ben having an easy tap-in to put Bottisham in front for the first time in the match and giving him his hat-trick. Thomas carved out his own chance and scored a great solo goal to make the score 4-2. With about seven minutes remaining Bottisham soaked up the pressure from the Strikers, Edward doing particularly well, blocking shots and putting in tackle after tackle. Two big shots from their No5 went close and the half ended with a fine finger-tip save from Chris.
The second half started with Lewis and William in defence, Nick, Josiah and George in midfield and James in attack. NST came out fighting, pinning the lads in their own half for the first five minutes. Nick came to the rescue twice with a well-timed tackle and block to clear danger. We were rarely getting into NSTs half, but good linking play and clever passing from James to Josiah on the left wing was a bright point. A corner to Bottisham was cleared competently by the Strikers, followed by more pressure. Every player was doing his bit, throwing themselves into tackles and desperately blocking shots, especially from their No5 who was being teed up time and again.
Thomas came on for Josiah, who had been working his socks off all game but on 12 minutes, the pressure paid off for the home team. A fierce shot from their No10 couldn't be kept out. 4-3 After Lewis had won a tackle and set Thomas on his way, their No5 tackled back well to deny Thomas a second goal. This was probably another turning point as their No's 4 and 10 immediately set off for our end, exchanging the ball in text-book fashion before getting a deserved goal and bringing the score level.
Bottisham finished the half the stronger team, but we were defending for the majority of the half and when the final whistle blew a draw seemed to be the fairest result.

Report by D.Smith

15th January 2005 Bottisham 8-1 Red Lodge Bombers
The first half started with Chris in goal, Brad and Edward in defence, Connor and George in midfield and Ben and Thomas in attack. Barely a minute had passed before Thomas scored a great individual goal, weaving in and out before putting the ball in the net. After two minutes Thomas's corner-kick was volleyed into the net by Brad to give Bottisham a 2-0 lead. Thomas collected his second goal a few minutes later after intercepting their 'keepers goal kick.
The Bombers bounced back, gaining a corner which was cleared to safety. Connor in particular was having a great game, seeing a lot of the ball and winning possession when it counted. After 10 minutes, Thomas got his hat-trick, a similar goal to the first. Their 'keeper denied good efforts from Ben and Brad, setting up an attack for the Bombers which gave Chris his first touch of the game in goal. Arguably the best move of the game followed - George passed with pinpoint accuracy to Thomas, who rounded the 'keeper before putting the ball across the empty goal for Ben to shepherd over the line. Ben's ability to read the game and be in the right place at the right time is a real asset to the team. 5-0 to Bottisham, who kept up the pressure. Connor saw his shot saved by their goalie before Ben got his second goal. In the last minutes of the half Red Lodge began to spend some time in our half, a big kick from their captain setting up an attack. A corner from their No 9 - who delivered excellent corners all game - proved dangerous but Chris tipped it over. First half ended 6-0.
Red Lodge Bombers were facing Chris, William, James Connor, Ben Lewis and Nick in the second half and had a mountain to climb. They began brightly, their first attack foiled by William, who showed a great touch to sweep ball off the attackers toe and sent it across the field to a team-mate. Lewis put in a great cross after a couple of minutes, Ben popping up to knock in the net for his hat-trick. Nick was proving how tenacious he could be, chasing players, hassling them and winning some great tackles against much bigger players. Substitutions followed, Thomas in goal, Ben off and Chris into midfield. A big goal kick from Thomas set Connor on a run but he was unluckily denied a goal by their 'keeper, who read the situation well. Brad came on for Connor and took a turn in attack in a period where although we stayed mainly in the Bombers half, couldn't score. A great move followed - a lovely ball forward from Lewis was collected by Brad, who ran with it and drew the defender to him before knocking it across, back to the arriving Lewis who hammered the ball towards the goal, only to see the shot held by their 'keeper. Still working hard, Lewis saw his next effort hit the post after Nick's lay-off.
Brad and Chris made way for George and Edward, the latter playing a significant role minutes later. Thomas was caught well out of position and the ball, launched towards the goal looked certain to go in. Edward raced back to retrieve it and incredibly managed to back-heel it off the line.
With less than five minute remaining, Lewis got his goal, a sweet left foot shot leaving the 'keeper no chance. As in the last fixture with Red Lodge, the Bombers had the last word, their No 10 hit a beauty that went straight into the top right hand corner of the goal. This final goal produced a cheer that could be heard all across the playing fields and was well deserved. Well done both teams for playing in such good spirit and good luck to Red Lodge Bombers in their future games.

12th February 2005 Bottisham 2-3 Burwell Swallows
The game started with Bottisham playing into a strong wind, but they kept the ball down and began well. They had three opportunities to get off the mark within the first five minutes, Nick supplying the ball that Ben latched onto and Tom letting loose a couple of shots to which the visiting 'keeper was equal to. Burwell began to enjoy more possession but Brad and Edward in defence were solid.
The deadlock was broken by the Swallows however with a shot from former Bottisham player Eddie that couldn't be held. The ball fell to their No 10 who wasn't going to miss from 5 metres. 1-0 to Burwell Swallows. Bottisham's reply was swift. Thomas put Ben through with a great pass from midfield and Ben shrugged off the defender, just managing to toe the ball past the 'keeper to bring the score level at 1-1. Moments later Nick had a chance as Bottisham kept surging forwards into the wind. A delightful run from Thomas gave Bottisham the lead a few minutes later. He jinked his way past 4 players before unleashing a shot that their keeper could only parry. Ben - always in the right place - poached the rebound to bring the score to 2-1.
Just on half time Burwell gave the team a scare with a goalmouth scramble that our boys just couldn't clear. The inevitable shot flew in but to everyone's relief Thomas stopped it on the line. The half ended at 2-1 to the home team. Special mention to Edward for his performance, he was outstanding in defence, read the game well and put in some great tackles and blocks when they counted.
The second half began with fresh legs for Bottisham as the entire outfield was replaced. With both our top scoring strikers off it was a good opportunity for some of the less experienced players to make an impression. Within a minute, Burwell Swallows had drawn level to make the task that much harder. After that the traffic was mostly one way. Bottisham, with the wind at their backs keeping the Swallows in their own half for virtually the entire half. James put in a couple of huge speculative shots from the halfway line, warming their 'keepers hands and earning the team a couple of corners. Josiah was busy in midfield, mopping up the loose balls and winning a lot of possession. George and Connor were linking well up front, putting together some lovely passes.
A shot from new signing Patrick was on target and pushed out for a corner which gave him confidence. The resulting corner kick was well-worked and eventually found James, who hit a blistering shot that the 'keeper did well to keep out. Bottisham were doing every thing right but couldn't get the ball in the back of the net - credit to the Swallows who were defending in numbers and frustrating us. In the dying minutes of the game the Swallows managed to break - Bottisham were totally unprepared for an attack after so long and failed to deal with it giving Burwell Swallows the lead with less than a minute to play.
The match was played in great spirit by both teams in extremely difficult conditions. The atmosphere throughout was excellent both on the pitch and on the sidelines and was a great advertisement for mini-soccer. Well done to both teams!

5th March 2005 Newmarket Town 3-3 Bottisham
On a very cold morning Newmarket Town took an early lead after Bottisham failed to clear a corner kick. Their No.5 hammered the ball home as it rolled loose after 3 minutes. Encouragingly, the team didn't appear fazed by this and began a series of attacks. James' long goal kick reached Josiah and he turned his marker before sending a floated ball over the 'keepers head only to see it hit the crossbar. Then Ben had two half-chances in front of goal, keeping the pressure on the home team. A fantastic weaving run from Josiah opened up the Town's defence, Thomas picked up the ball and continued the move and slotted the ball home to equalise on ten minutes.
The game settled down and became more even, only Chris's great reaction save on 20 minutes denying Newmarket. Then we handed a gift goal to our opponents. A poor goal kick went straight to their alert No 2 who made no mistake. 2-1 to Newmarket. The boys kept their game together though and the final five minutes saw unrelenting pressure from Bottisham through a series of corners that Newmarket seemed unable to defend. When the half time whistle blew the home team seemed more relieved, despite the score-line.
The second half started well for Newmarket, scoring almost straight form the kick off after an excellent move. This was a test for Bottisham. Within a few minutes we were treated to some wonderful football - James's solid pass found Thomas, whose first touch wrong-footed his marker. Thomas pushed the ball on for Connor on the right who lashed the ball in the net to bring the score to 3-2. A great goal and set up play that brought Shearer's second goal against Holland in Euro '96 to mind.
More pressure from Bottisham followed - the whole team was playing good football, defensively strong, midfield winning the ball and the strikers making chances for themselves. A blistering shot from Josiah produced an excellent save from Newmarket's goalkeeper and both Connor and George had chances but the home team always looked capable of scoring again. They began to enjoy more time in our half and when Bottisham attacked the home team got back quickly in numbers to smother the danger, anxious not to surrender their lead. Finally, another great move involving Josiah, Connor and Thomas saw Bottisham get the equaliser they deserved - Thomas getting his second goal after a great pass from Connor. Final score 3-3.
A fantastic effort from all the players who all performed well today - each and everyone should be proud of how they are playing as a team for each other. They showed great character in coming back from a two goal deficit. Well done lads!

2nd April 2005 Bottisham 6-3 Burwell Tigers
Bottisham started this game brightly, a great kick out from Chris after three minutes finding George. His excellent pass went straight to Tom, who turned his marker and chipped the ball over the advancing 'keeper. It was just the start we needed, with several players - Ben, Josiah, Connor and Edward - not available for this match. A couple of minutes later James showed his determination to put in a good performance with a blistering run down the left wing. With ten minutes gone Tom dribbled through their defence to collect his second goal. The Tigers had a chance saved when their No7 put in a good shot from the right. Moments later there was unnecessary panic in our defence, fortunately James showed a cool head to put the ball out for a corner. The corner whistled past our defenders and could easily have been a goal for the visitors. Next, Tom tried along range shot but the Tigers 'keeper wasn't fazed by it. Their No3 was putting in some good tackles and their No9s long throw-ins were causing us some problems.
Both Patrick and Lewis had good chances before twenty minutes were up, opportunities earned from their constant harrying. Tom buried the ball in the net for his hat-trick when the ball rolled out to him after Lewis saw his shot saved. At the restart a chance fell to the Tigers, Chris making a great save to keep the ball out. A moment of madness from James gave their No 8 a great chance, luckily the chance wasn't taken. A series of good tackles from Brad gave the team some security at the back, whilst Nick was tracking back and sticking to his target like glue. In the closing minutes the Tigers forced a series of corners which were well-taken and caused us some problems. Half-time ended at 3-0.
The first move of the second half was breath-taking, Brad dribbling past three players before pushing the ball through to Tom who cracked in his fourth goal from close range. Lewis, Patrick and Tom were linking well, George was demonstrating great awareness and accuracy in his passing and our 'last man' William was making telling tackles to slow down the Tigers attacks. After 5 minutes Tom waltzed through the defence to collect his fifth goal and with the team's confidence high, the passing and movement off the ball just got better and better. George had a chance at the left post before Brad saw his ferocious shot hit the right post. George saw his left foot shot go just wide as Bottisham piled on the pressure. Finally, Brad's finely judged pass found Tom who had an easy tap-in to bring his and Bottisham's haul to six.
Despite the scoreline, the Tigers didn't appear concerned, continuing to play with patience, which paid off when their No6 scored from one of their excellently taken corners. With five minutes remaining they were awarded a penalty which their No 5 took well, bringing the score to 6-2. With Tom and Brad off the pitch Lewis was taking more responsibility for carrying the ball into the visitors half and doing the job well. The Tigers had their share of chances in the dying minutes of the game and their No7 got a well-deserved goal at the end to make the final score 6-3.
A great performance from a team that had suffered a big defeat two weeks previously and were missing players in all areas of the pitch. Well done lads.

16th April 2005 Ellesmere Eagles 3- 5 Bottisham
The game started well for Bottisham, Thomas wriggling through the home teams defence to score with less than a minute played. The Eagles were kept on the back foot on the restart and after 4 minutes Josiah's excellent line pass found Thomas who again weaved through the defence to make his shot. 2-0 to Bottisham. Ed, Brad, Josiah, Patrick, Ben and Thomas were all passing well and playing for each other - the boys were moving well off the ball, looking around and showing a lot of awareness on the ball. After eight minutes the Eagles got their first shot on goal - Chris held the ball well.
After 11 minutes a shot from Josiah went just wide. Connor and Nick then came on for Patrick and Ben, who deserved a breather after their energetic performances. A poor kick from the Eagles 'keeper gave Josiah an opportunity on 14 minutes. He thumped it into the goal with no hesitation to make it 3-0 to Bottisham.
Just on 17 minutes possession was lost in midfield - our defence weren't concentrating and let their striker in to score. A minute later, a great cross from an Eagles winger wasn't dealt with and provided an easy tap-in for the home team's second goal. More defensive dallying from Bottisham gave the Eagles a chance to level the scores, which they squandered. They were, however, getting stronger and stronger. Edward had a lot of work to do in the last five minutes and ran the ball out of defence and to safety several times. In the closing moments of the half Josiah - who had worked tirelessly throughout - fell victim to a unfortunate challenge and could take no further part in the game. The whistle went with Bottisham feeling relieved that they still held the lead after Eagles spirited revival.
The second half started with James and Lewis on the field and the Eagles pushing for the equaliser. After seven minutes, the ball went through to Lewis, who knocked it across the goal. Ben's shot was deflected in by Thomas to bring the score to 4-2. Six minutes later, Brad - who was having another great game - hooked a clearance which was picked up by Ben. The ball was moved up to Thomas and Ben raced up to support him, drawing some of the defence with him. Thomas took advantage of the space created and teed up an unstoppable shot for his fourth goal of the match. 5-2 to Bottisham.
A chance fell to the home team on the restart but the ball went over the crossbar. The game became fragmented, with a number of stoppages for minor injuries to our players. The Eagles, a team used to winning more than losing, were getting frustrated at the goal margin. They were playing well, passing the ball intelligently but not making the most of the chances they created. On 19 minutes they saw a good strike blocked on the line by Lewis' bottom! It was that kind of day for the Eagles. Connor and Patrick rolled on for Lewis and Ben for the last five minutes and with three minutes remaining Connor's shot hit the side netting.
A great strike from one of their key players provided some consolation for his and his teams efforts at the end. Final score 3-5 to Bottisham. Well done everyone.
