Bottisham 6-1 Fulbourn Institute
Bottisham bounced back from their first ever league defeat with
a well deserved victory against a strong, well organised team
played in good spirits. Bottisham opened the scoring in the first
period with a good team effort finished off by their skipper Harry
D and were unlucky not to increase their lead several times due
to dogged defending and goal keeping. Fulbourn tried to break
down Bottisham's defence but found Edward F and Harry Tr in superb
form. But just before the break a long range effort from Fulbourn
finally beat man-of-the-match William in the Bottisham goal. The
second period saw Bottisham take control of the game with two
goals from Freddie, one from Callum and an unfortunate own goal
by Fulbourn to lead 5-1. Any attempt to reply was thwarted by
Luke and Ben in defence. The third period saw Harry D score his
second after some great passing between Alexander , Hugh and Luca,
and again any potential attacks on the Bottisham goal were stamped
out by Edward B in defence. The final period saw no further goals
scored but plenty of entertaining football by both teams.

Milton 1-6 Bottisham
These teams haven't met for couple of seasons and the first period
so both teams somewhat nervous and very few chances fell to either
side and ended goalless. The second period saw Bottisham play
like they normally do and excellent passing between man of the
match Freddie and Luke resulted in free kick which was put away
by Luca. This was followed up by goals from Harry D and Callum
give 3-0 lead. However just before break a lapse of concentration
in defence allowed Milton to score to finish period 3-1. The next
period saw some great defending by Edward B and one fantastic
save from skipper William in goal. Further good passing by Hugh
and Ben allowed Harry D to score his second. The final period
again saw some entertaining football by Bottisham and from a free
kick 10 yards out Edward F drove the ball home. After some resolute
defending by Alexander, Bottisham broke away to score their 6th
and final goal by Harry D to complete his hat trick. This was
a well contested match played in good spirits

Bottisham 3-1 Newmarket Town
These teams carried on where they left off last season in a very
entertaining match played in really good spirits. Bottisham's
goalkeeper was absent and Edward F stood in for two thirds of
match and did a brilliant job. The first period started tense
and both goalkeepers had little to do. Man of the match Harry
T was awesome in defence helped by Alexander and then Ben. Bottisham
finally broke the deadlock after perserverance from Luca and Luke
ended with an own goal by Newmarket. The second period saw more
chances for Bottisham which were squandered and Newmarket capitalised
on this taking a quick corner and tucked it away to make it 1-1.
This seemed to spur Bottisham on and tidy work from Hugh and skipper
Fredddie resulted in a well taken goal by Callum to end the period
2-1. The third period saw plenty of positive play from Newmarket
and were unlucky not equalise but for defending from Edward F
and Harry D who had gone into goal. Then Bottishmam had two great
opportunties to increase their lead but squandered both. The final
period saw Hugh go back into his old position and he pulled off
couple of crucial saves before Harry D finally slotted one of
many chances he had in the game to give Bottisham the match 3-1.

Bottisham 5-1 Stretham Sporting
These two teams carried on where they left off from last season
in a very competitive entertaining match played in good spirits.
The first period saw some crisp passing and moving from Bottisham
and after good work from skipper Edward F, Harry D and Hugh the
move was slotted away by man-of-the-match Callum. He then doubled
his tally after great battling from Freddie who sent him on his
way. The second period saw Callum complete his hat-trick after
some neat passing from Alexander and Edward B. Stretham tried
hard to score but fine defensive work by Ben and William who yet
again was solid in goal. The third period saw no further goals.
The final period saw some brilliant football from Bottisham and
again great passing from Edward F and Harry D was put away by
Harry T. The final goal saw Callum send Luke away and he drove
home Bottisham's fifth. However Stretham were not finished and
battled to score an excellent goal which William had no chance
of saving.

Sutton Rangers 0 - 12 Bottisham
This
is the first time these teams have met and although conditions
were very difficult the game was entertaining and played in excellent
spirits. Bottisham dominated the opening exchanges and after superb
work by Edward F in defence he set Luca up to open the scoring.
This was quickly added to by two cracking individual goals from
skipper Callum . Sutton tried to break Bottisham down but were
thwarted by neat work from Ed B and Ben . Harry D then joined
the attack and scored twice in quick succession. The second period
saw Sutton create some excellent scoring chances but were stopped
by William who had a superb game in goal. Man of the match Freddie
scored after good work by Bottisham. This was added to by a fantastic
strike by Harry T. Good work by Hugh F and Luck enabled Harry
D to complete his hat trick and then his fourth. Conditions were
deteriorating with heavier rain and becoming colder but Sutton
never gave up and again were unlucky not to get on the score sheet.
The third period saw Callum complete a deserved hat trick after
excellent work by Freddie. The last period saw Harry T score his
second and Callum bag his fourth to complete the scoreline.

Burwell Tigers 1-7 Bottisham
This game carried on where it left off last season in a hard fought
but entertaining game played in excellent spirits. The first period
saw both teams abit slow out of traps most likely from the christmas
break. However it was Bottisham who grabbed the lead when man-of-the-match
Edward F took a long throw which glanced off a defender into the
goal. The lead was then doubled after good work from Harry T and
Luke and was put away by Harry D. This did not deter Burwell and
they struck straight back from a well worked goal. The second
period saw Bottisham increase their lead after good work in defence
by Ed B and Ben, the ball was gathered by Hugh who threaded it
through for Luca to score. The third period saw Bottisham's skipper
Callum grab an individual effort after good work in defence by
Ben to make it 4-1. Burwell were unlucky not to reduce the deficit
after two fine saves by William in goal. The final period saw
some excellent team football from Bottisham who extended their
lead when Luca, Harry D and Callum scored their second goals to
make the final score 7-1

These teams only met 3 weeks earlier in the league and it
showed in a hard, tight and very entertaining match played in
good spirits. The first period saw both teams nervous and squander
good chances to open the scoring. However eventually Burwell took
the lead through a well worked goal. But good defending by Ed
F and Ben stopped Burwell from going further ahead. Bottisham
then levelled after good work from skipper Freddie and Alexander
was slotted away by Harry D. The second period saw Bottisham play
some great football and after excellent work from Luke and Hugh
enabled Callum to score. This was quickily followed by his second
to make the scoreline 3-1. Attempts by Burwell to reply were snuffed
out by Ed B and man-of-match Harry T. The third period saw Bottisham
dominate possession and were unlucky not to increase their lead
after several efforts from Luca and Callum were saved by the Burwell
keeper. At the end of this section Burwell broke away but were
defied by a fantastic save from Bottisham keeper William. The
final period saw further efforts but yet again the keepers on
both sides made some fantastic saves to leave the score the same
at 3-1 in an excellent game of football.

Bottisham 3-2 Waterbeach A
The return fixture for this Div B saw an excellent match, played
at high tempo but most of all in good spirits. Bottisham started
strongly and after good work from Luke were unlucky not to take
the lead. Waterbeach tried to attack back but found skipper Harry
T and Ed F superb in defence. Half way through the period a clearance
from Bottisham fell to Waterbeach and long range effort dipped
under the bar to give them the lead. This seemed to spur Bottisham
on and good work by Harry D and Freddie was slotted away by man-of-the-match
Callum to level the score. However Waterbeach were not finished
and again a long effort was drilled into the far corner to give
them a 2-1. The second period saw plenty of chances at both ends.Good
defending by Ben and Ed B seemed to stop Waterbeach. Likewise
good work by Hugh and Alexander was snubbed out by the Waterbeach
defence. The next period saw Waterbeach push on for a possible
important third goal, but yet again William was brilliant in goal
and made two fine saves. A clearance by Ben dropped just inside
the Waterbeach half and Luca swivelled and volleyed the ball into
the far corner to level the match. The final period was fantastic
with chances falling at both ends. But again dogged defending
and goalkeeping stopped either side taking the lead. Then with
the final kick of the game, a clearance by Ed F was picked up
by Callum who then beat three Waterbeach defenders and smashed
the ball into the far corner to clinch a great victory for Bottisham.

Fulbourn Institute 2-8 Bottisham
This return fixture was highly competetive played in good spirits.
Bottisham took control very early on with four quick goals. The
first was scored by skipper Callum after good work from Freddie.
Then Hugh slotted away a rebound after the initial effort by Harry
D was saved. Harry T scored his first after dogged work by Alexander.
the last was driven home by Callum after a long clearance from
Ed F. This did not deter Fulbourn who were unlucky on numerous
occasions not to reduce the scoreline and were denied by some
great defending by Ed F and Ben but most of all after some great
saves by man of the match William. The second period saw Fulbourn
score a well deserved goal after some good work. But Bottisham
restored their lead after good work by Ed B was put away by Harry
T. The third period saw Callum complete a well deserved hat trick.
But Fulbourn continued to battle and score their second. However
some excellent work by Luke saw him score to make it 7-2. The
final period saw alot of pressure from Fulbourn and were so unlucky
not to add to thier score if it weren't for further brilliance
from William. Harry T then broke up field and completed a well
earned hat trick to make it 8-2 to Bottisham. However the scoreline
did not reflect the effort from Fulbourn who deserved more from
this match.

Bottisham 3-0 Milton
Like their previous match this season, this turned out to be a
very entertaining match played in good spirits. Bottisham burst
out of the blocks and excellent work by Luca and Ed F created
several gilt edged chances for the home side but were thwarted
by a superb milton goalkeeper who made several key saves. However
half way through the period he could not do anything when a corner
taken by Harry D was deflected into the Milton goal to give Bottisham
a well deserved lead. All attempts by Milton to attack the Bottisham
goal was stopped by man-of-the-match Harry T who had a fantastic
game in defence. Although at the very end of the period Milton
broke away and looked like equalising until skipper William pulled
off an unbelievable save to keep the scoreline at 1-0. The second
period saw Milton create some chances but found Ben and Ed B solid
in defence. Up at the other end of the pitch Luke, who also had
an outstanding game, created several excellent chances for Freddie
and Hugh but they could not finish them off. The third period
saw Bottisham raise the level of pressure again on Milton and
after good work from Ed F and Luca this was netted by Callum,
who quickly doubled his tally with a wonderful individual effort
to make the score 3-0. The final period saw Milton determined
to score but William was yet again superb between the sticks.
Bottisham were on the otherhand were very unlucky not to add to
their tally again due to a string of fine saves by the Milton
keeper. .

Newmarket Town 0-2 Bottisham
This return match was as thrilling as their first encounter this
season with both sides playing entertaining football in excellent
spirits. The first period saw Bottisham start the stronger and
good work by Ed F created an opening for Harry D but his effort
was saved by a Newmarket keeper in fine form. Again Bottisham
broke through the home defence and an effort by Callum was saved
by the keeper. Newmarket attempted to threaten the Bottisham Goal
but found skipper Harry T in defence in superb form who stopped
all attempts. But on the rare occasions Newmarket got through
they found Bottisham's keeper William at his best. The period
ended in stalemate. The second period saw Bottisham have the advantage
of the slope and solid work at the back from Ben created space
for Callum who crossed for Freddie to open the scoring. Bottisham
doubled their lead after a fantastic run by man-of-match Luke
was finished off in style by Callum. He was unlucky not to double
his tally when his effort hit the inside of the post but somehow
bounced back into play. The third period saw Newmarket put a lot
of pressure on Bottisham's goal but found the defence defiant
and found it hard to create an opening, but when they did William
made further great saves. Bottisham pushed on to finish off the
game and after good work by Alexander, Harry Darling was so unlucky
not to score. The final period saw Bottisham play some brilliant
football and after good work by Hugh, both Callum and Harry D
were unlucky not to increase their team's lead.

Stretham Sporting 2-3 Bottisham
Stretham
started the stronger, while Bottisham who had not played for other
a month struggled to get into any rhythm. Stretham played some
great football and were unlucky on several occasions due to a
fine display by Bottisham's keeper William. Right on the stroke
of half time however Stretham scored after a well worked goal.
The second period started in the same way and Stretham extended
their lead to 2-0. However this seemed to awaken Bottisham who
now played like everyone is used to. Excellent work in defence
by Ed B and Alexander stopped further advances by Stretham, while
superb football between Luca and Harry D resulted in a goal for
Freddie. Bottisham continued to push for an equaliser and were
unlucky on several occassions. The third period saw further good
work in defence by Ben and skipper Luke, which allowed Ed F to
dribble up field and thread a great pass through to man-of-match
Callum to open his account. Bottisham applied further pressure
and good work from Hugh put Callum through for his second to give
Bottisham a deserved lead. The final period saw more opportunities
for Bottisham to increase their lead but good defending and goalkeeping
from Stretham kept the scoreline the same. 3-2 to the away team.

Bottisham 11-2 Sutton Rangers
Bottisham finished their league campaign at home with a well
deserved victory, playing some excellent football in a match played
in good spirits. Bottisham got off to a flyer scoring within the
first minute when good work from Ed F set up man-of-match Harry
D who drove the ball home. However Sutton dug deep and equalised
after a good team effort. This made Bottisham realise they had
a match on their hands and after good work in defence by Ed B
he freed Luca R who scored a great individual effort. This was
quickly followed by skipper Callum scoring his first. Freddie
then made it 4-1 when finishing off a good team effort. But Sutton
would not lay down and narrowed the score to make it 4-2 at the
end of the first period. The next period saw strong defending
by Bottisham with fine display from Alexander and Ben. This allowed
Bottisham to push forward and Callum and Luca scored their second
goals. Sutton themselves tried to reduce the score-line but found
Bottisham keeper William yet again in fine form. Bottisham increased
their lead to 7-2 when an Ed F corner was turned in by Luke for
his first. The third period saw Freddie double his tally when
tucking away the ball from Harry D's corner. Then skipper Callum
completed a well deserved hat-trick after being put through by
Alexander. The final period saw Bottisham press the Sutton goal
and Luke scored his second after excellent work from Hugh. Luke
then completed his hat-trick when he drilled the ball high into
the net.
