RISCOS 4 Backdrops (Female A-B)
Welcome - wallpaper (backdrops) produced using Rob Davison's !Compo 'Image Composition' program.

For each of the backdrops there is a preview image and a download link - with file size.
There are 36 wallpapers on this page and 275 in all.
The 'Female Icon Backdrops' are split over six pages and there are four further pages - 'Male Icons,' 'Sci-Fi Cult TV' 'Dr Who' and a new 'HQ wallpaper' page.

These Backdrops are all designed for a desktop of at least 32,000 colours. I have collected the separate images from various sources but all the finished 'backdrops' are designed by me using using !Compo with a little help from !Paint and other RISCOS utilities especially !JCut by J. David Barrow.
These Jpegs are designed just for 1024x768 desktops. However on the RISC desktop the Iconbar covers some of this space. The visible areas are more like:- 1024x704.
To allow use by the most systems, PC Card, Windows, Mac, and RISCOS, I have kept to the full screen size but hopefully kept 'text info' in from the edges.
Risc OS users can also make use of !JCut by J. David Barrow to crop the backdrop down to 1024x704 to get the best fit on the desktop without losing any image quality.
If you are short of memory or feel the backdrop is slowing down your system this can be offset by using a jpeg image one size smaller than your desktop (again using the 'Centred' image option.) This reduces the load on your machine, shows the full image and allows you to position your main Directories around your image.
On the RISCOS4 desktop you can then also set the Desktop colour to one that matches the main image.
