Inman family

James Inman was born in Howgill, a Hamlet in Sedbergh in the West Riding of Yorkshire,1695,his wife, Margaret Knipe "was a widow" at the time of the marriage;-on the marriage record Margaret says she is of the parish of Heversham ,James say's he's from the parish of Sedbergh.
James and Margaret lived and farmed in Sedbergh then moved to Beathwaite Green [in the parish of Heversham] about 1742; James and Margaret were my 4x great-grandparents.
Robert Inman was a blacksmith in Beathwaite Green, Robert's Wife Catherine Jackson was born in Beathwaite green [they were my 3 xgreat-grandparents]


John Inman born in Beathwaite green in 1769;- was the illegitimate son of Catherine Jackson he was baptised 12th October 1769 in the name of John Jackson , Catherine Jackson married Robert Inmanon 5th November 1770 John then took the surname of Inman,

John and his wife Ann Wright, born in Helsington move to a farm in Lyth, Westmorland called "DRAW WELL"
the Inman family farmed at "DRAW WELL" for over a hundred years [there was still a Inman family there on the 1901 census]
