Series Land Rovers Still Working for a Living
This page illustrates old Leafers still at work today in commercial use.
This 109 is still earning its keep with a mobile welder near
Holmfirth, Yorkshire. It still has the original 2 1/4 petrol engine and has rear
bodywork fabricated by the owner. In the back are a generator/ electric welding
set, and gas bottles.
This Series 3 was spotted in Buxton and is used by a dry stone
walling company.
This series 1 was seen in action a couple of yers ago
Castleton, Derbyshire with some kind of farming implement.

This 109 tow truck was in use until 2005 at Jubilee Garage, on
the A1 near Grantham.

This 101FC is stuill used by the RAF Motorsports Association
as a recovery/fire tender.

An 88" Series 2 still in use in the South Manchester
area.

This series 3 works hauling a roadside cafe about in the Buxton area. The
lady owner has used it for this for 15 years.

This old lady is still working on the east coast for a
yact club moving the boats in and out of the sea.

This 2a is often seen around the Glossop area hauling bales of hay about for a
local farmer. Unfortunately it has been repowered by a diessl engine of Japanese
origin.


This series 3 was (is?) still working somwwhere in the Midlands.

This 2a is still at work on a fram near Lichfield.

This 88 was still in use a couiple of years ago as a crop sprayer on a
farm somewhere in the South West of England.

The series 2a of Mick Outhwaite (Secretary of the Series
2 Club) used every day in his work.

A 2a Ice Cream van still at work in Whitby, North Yorks.


An FC and a 2a 109" still used to transport beehives Parton , Dumfries
and Galloway.
