Synopsis The Stone family, mother Elaine, father Bill, and kids Kylie and Noddy, move to the quiet suburb of Poutney. There the discover that things are not all they might seem. Their next door neighbours, Mr Pritchard and is wife Fenella are downright weird, and keep their son Eustace locked upstairs. And then Kylie and Noddie discover that someone has been taking Eustace's legs. It all centres around the local Val-U-Matic store, and when Fenella takes Elaine shopping there, Elaine returns strangely altered. It's obviously up to Kylie and Noddy to kick some ass in suburbia. Comment One of Urban Gothic's strengths is that you can never quite be sure of where it will go next, and this episode is a case in point. It's like an episode of Eerie Indiana on acid with space aliens invading suburbia via a supermarket. It's flippant and funny, with the gore and shocks going hand in hand with a great self-awareness. Another excellent episode.
