A superb and imaginative finale to the first season. Thirteen draws together many of the elements of previous stories, and even features a returning character, and presents a story of love lost against a backdrop of ancient evil and power. Fascinating ideas are at play here, and suddenly Urban Gothic looks less like a wannabe Twilight Zone and is catapaulted into a realm of its own.
