It's a Matchstick Logo

Matchstick in Space was an old novel written many years ago by myself. It was in turn heavily influenced from earlier similar projects, and a major influence of these is the computer game series Monkey Island. The old version, whilst having many good and interesting ideas, also has lots of bad ideas and text. This new rewrite into a radio script should update it to be something that I am pleased with, by removing such notsogoodness. A radio script has the advantage in that it can have interesting narrative text, while at the same time free of the full baggage of a novel. Finally there are grand plans to actually implement this into a radio series, following the author's work in creating fan radio dramatisations of Douglas Adams stories (at time of writing, see here).

The current state of the project is as follows: I have adapted the first three parts to radio script form. I have also spoken to various friends who are interested in acting in the project and have mostly cast the first episode. Indeed, we've had some recordings already completed and a 16 minute sample of episode 1 can be found at the link below, starring CarloT as the Narrator, me as Matchstick McDoogal, KaiZ as Stan, ChrisB as Werdna Woog and A Speech Synthesiser as the computer.
