I can't believe it's been 6 months since the last batch of releases - now that's sheer bloody lazyness. First I'd like to say thanks to Sindre, Anders and Sten who were kind enough to grace us with their presence last month - a superb night I think.

We have 3 No Context gigs lined up in November in Bournemouth & Poole so hope to see a few folks there. Check the No context page for details.....
Anyway, here's the new batch - MANY thanks to Sandra and Roy, it's been a pleasure to release your work.
SRX - Vessel
A beautiful new mini album from Sandra Reignoux as SRX. Sandra doesn't allow musical rules and conventions to stand in the way of producing some of the most evocative and delicate songs and instrumental vignettes I've heard in a long while. The Interplay between Sandra's Nico-esque voice, piano and the tired moaning of her ancient 4-track creates a wonderfully charming effect. The primitive recording techniques and the sound of breath on microphone gives the recordings an intimate quality and the sensation of proximity to greatness.

Korperschwache - The Joy of Seppuku
Korperschwache is in fine form on this new release, this is drone in the best sense of the word. Delve beyond the surface and a multitude of twilight worlds reveal themselves to you, each one danker and merkier than the last. I can only recommend turning this one up loud and allow the music to strip away all your other senses.

It's been a while but I've pulled my finger out and finally got a couple of releases ready. Namely (VxPxC) and Black Sparrow. A fine pair of releases they are too - many thanks fellas.
I've described them as follows. As usual my lame descriptions don't do the works justice, so any articulate & poetic words would be much appreciated.
(VxPxC) - Chinatown Nose-Cut
This sister piece to (VxPxC)'s "twelve divided by three" and "reticent to manifest" cassettes sees a more electronic slant to their blissful free improv folk sound. A murky psychedelic puddle of every Californian cliche peppered with angel dust and left to melt in the midday heat. Walls of broken electricity and fuzzy musicality help you to feel like you're stumbling towards the light with a serious case on sun blindness. Limited Edition of 75.

Black Sparrow - legs heavy with pollen
Robin (of slow listener and atoms) duets with the great resonant god-bird in the sky. Sounds are apparently pulled from the aether in a glorious dissonance or singing elegant walls of breathtaking beauty. Whilst the crackle of broken electronics adds a sinister air of unease.

First of all - Happy New year folks.
Right, it's looks like we've had 4 new releases since the last update - a bit slack with the updates, will try harder in future....
The Mutant Ape release is finally out, somewhat delayed due to my incompetance (sorry George). "Worlds Collide" makes for some seriously intense listening, my limited vocabulary can't do it justice, so I'll post an mp3 shortly so you can hear for yourself.
"Black Box" is the new 3" CDr from Norwegian dronemeister r.s.r. - 20 minutes of dark ambient drone that's guaranteed to turn your mind to mush. Headphones recommended for the full trip.
Other recent releases are Damno Te's tribute to George A Romero "Red Rain". Features some great distorted textures and walls of harsh noise.
Lastly, there's the Sports Day compilation, thanks to everyone who generously donated tracks - much appreciated.
Fordell Research Unit - The Bleeding Nun
Bjerga/Iversen - Buzzfield
Horse Palace - Laxativitalitude
Textured Bird Transmission - Carousel
Manchurian Fog - The Distanced Creature/Thunder Of Love
King Razor - Chronology Of Chance (Part 2)
Dead Wood - Untitled
Cel - Vilolin
Another Enough Chairs - Slow Speak
Nackt Insecten - Finest Strand, Dying Sun
r.s.r. - Red Circle
Strap The Button - Mystery Song

The Bjerga/Iversen night was a success - somewhat underattended but an artistic triumph. All the acts sounded amazing...really exciting [Photos Here]. The compilation is out now so please buy it if you can, because it was bloody hard work putting all that together. We've got a Damno Te release out too, good stuff, I'll put some mp3s up when I get a mo. Lastly, there are few more reviews that have popped up on Aural Pressure and Heathen Harvest so check out the catalogue for links to these....oh yeah, I'm also on a new compilation from Kakashka records. It looks great, can't wait to get my hands on a couple - please check out this label, they really go to a lot of effort with their releases.

Various bits and pieces this time. First up is a live appearence on the 9th October from Bjerga/Iversen at the King Charles Inn in Poole as part of their UK tour. This is jointly curated by myself and Adam (Deadwood/Dirty Demos) - so far confirmed in addition to B/I are King Razor, Deadwood and Blackpepper - so expect a great night of paranormal noise and abstract electronica. Full tour details to be announced here soon.
Next, we've got a few releases coming from Mutant Ape, Damno Te and r.s.r. - all excellent stuff and quite successfully phasing my mind.
Issue 8 of 'The One true dead angel' is out now, and has some very nice reviews of AEC and Thirdorgan.....read them here.
Lastly, please check out the shop for the new NoSt8ment compilation featuring Textured Bird Transmission in some great company - highly recommended.

The new issue of 'the one true dead angel' is out now, featuring a couple of great reviews of Cel and Textured Bird Transmission, and a lot of other great stuff besides.
While I'm at it, the new Bjerga / Iversen release is almost ready and it sounds pretty good to me. Please check back in a couple of days when we should be ready to roll...

Our second two releases are now out - First up is the wonderful Another Enough Chairs with 'Bring That Voice To The State'. Described quite accurately by AEC as 'Three ten minute tracks of skinny head drone and alien sounds' - this is a great clash of folk and noise. Next, we have the new Thirdorgan release ready - Satanico Pandemonium. A truly wonderful glitchly harsh noise extravaganza from the master of Japanoise. Akihiro also runs the label Alienation. A one stop shop for all your noise and avant-garde needs.
Lastly, please check out this amazing review by Mark Meloche from noisear of the 'Textured Bird Transmission' release. I'm a big fan of this guys work.

First two releases are up and running - 'Purple Weighted Pellets of Despair' is my attempt at a dense meditive drone piece, this was all recorded live in several sessions with no overdubs and the best bits edited together into one piece. Cel's 'Fugitive Angle' is a beautiful lo-fi recording that kind of has the feel of an ancient artifact - lots of low frequency drones to wallow in - very nice.
Out soon is a new CDR from 'another enough chairs' - Jay runs the nost8ment label - definately worth a look, check the links section for his myspace page......
Lastly, we have a joint release lined up from myself and the legendary Thirdorgan of Alienation records....more soon. Allan.
