Me on my bike

Summer 2009

Dear Loyal Fans,

As it’s the first day of a new month today, I have sprung into action like, well, a spring, to update my blog. My gratitude goes out to anyone who has been sitting by their computer screens for the past six months, clicking the refresh button every eight hours, slowly dehydrating, eyes sinking into your heads, muscles wasting away, patiently waiting for the update. Here it is!!! Now go outside and look at the sky.

I don’t really have any news regarding my third book at the moment, as I’m still working on the rewrite. Yes, I know it’s been a long time but I haven’t been dedicating every spare moment to it, I’m afraid. Sorry, Loyal Fans. The past few months, I have been spending quite a lot of time learning to ride a motorbike! How exciting is that?! What with still doing my day job, looking after the kids, maintaining some kind of social contact with other humans, washing, ironing, cleaning, cooking and writing books in between, I felt that I needed some kind of challenge. They say that you should keep your brain active to prevent dementia, so I thought I could do that on two wheels with the wind in my hair. Although, you know, I have to wear a helmet, so the wind is kind of over the top of my hair. Over the top of the layers of padding and plastic, which cover my hair. In actual fact my hair and the wind don’t even get near each other, but that’s not to say that they wouldn’t be fantastic together if they ever should meet.

So that’s my news this month. I am truly sorry, LFs, for my negligence, but I promise I am working hard on the rewrite now. I am hoping to have it finished in the next two or three months, and will let you know the outcome of any advances to the publisher as soon as I know it.

Much love, and thanks to all,

Debbie x
