Wider Repertoire
Stories for any occassion
Debs can dive into a strong and wide ranging repertoire to find a yarn to spin for you. She primarily tells folk stories from the European traditions; mainly English, Irish, Welsh and Russian tales. Her repertoire features the following themes and writers particularly strongly, however:
- Tree & Plant Folklore
- English Legends
- Water Stories
- Shakespeare's Plays and Sonnets
- The Decameron (Giovanni Boccaccio)
- Humorous and Bawdy Tales
But she's always picking up new ones from far and wide.....
One of Debs' strengths is dipping into this repertoire and pulling out a lovely handful of tales that she will then stitch together with a theme, motif, song, journey or flight of fancy that will suit the audience or venue she is to take them to. Like magic.
She can even design a story walk for your local park, beach, open space or street. An amble through the outdoors, stopping to hear a tale, an urban myth, a song or a bit of historical folklore along the way. Ask her if you're interested...
