A Wondrous Walk Through our Woods...
Tree lore and folktales, seasonal myths and a smidgin of song
First performed on Hampstead Heath as part of the Highgate Festival, The TallTree Tales is a gentle and adaptable collection of tales that bring the young and old a wee bit closer to nature.
Hear the crunch of beech nuts under your feet, see the spring blossom dancing overhead, smell the pine needles in the autumn sunshine...even if you're in a small church hall in Camden...
Marrying her characteristic wit with a lifelong interest in botany and plant folklore, let Debs take you on a walk – either real or imagined – around our ancient woodlands.
The TallTree Tales is a collection of stories and legends that can be pitched to suit the season, age group and setting of your event.
It can be performed outdoors; taking the form of a walk around your park or open space (and can be designed bespoke to make links with some of the trees growing there); or indoors, where you can leave it to Debs to bring the rustle of the leaves and the scent of the blossom into the room with you.
Should you wish, some basic native tree ID techniques can be brought into the piece when performed outdoors. Please do ask if this interests you...
