| My 'OLD' Ludwig
(circa 1930) was in need of some tender loving care. I had purchased
it in 1990 and it had served me well but was beginning to show signs
of wear and tear. It really needed a full refurbishment. I decided to
entrust the job to a good friend , Eddie Uttley. I had seen examples
of his outstanding work on all types of stringed instruments. His
skills have been honed to perfection over the last 50 years from when he
took an interest in guitars in his teens. Over the last few years he had taken a major interest in the refurbishment of Ukuleles and Banjo Ukuleles. He actually made several Ukuleles of outstanding quality. I knew that Eddie would treat my 'OLD' Ludwig with great care and I was sure the end result would be an instrument that looked as though it had just been released from the Ludwig factory in Chicago, USA.
