The Ludwig was totally dismantled. The
neck was stripped back to the wood and resprayed. The Pyralin covered Resonator was stripped of its yellow colouring and the back of the resonator reglued where it had come away from the wood because of sweat. The red rosette was recoloured and the black lines redone It was then resprayed with several coats of cellulose lacquer to fading from yellow to almost white at the centre of the resonator and then polished. |
