We will meet in front of the Wilkins building of University College (where some believe Dr Watson studied medicine) and wander, in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, through some of the obscure byways of Bloomsbury as well as the principal thoroughfares of the West End before finishing outside the Sherlock Holmes Public House (near to Charing Cross).

The Walk will visit sites mentioned in the following stories:

A Study in Scarlet;

At the end of the walk, participants may like to dine (at their own expense) in the first floor restaurant where members of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London have recreated Holmes and Watson's sitting room at 221B Baker street.

The restaurant offers a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and

some reasonable beer.
