"In my many years of experience I have never come across a school so against the parent-school partnership"

So said someone who had never been to HF before and was leaving in  shock a while ago.

CLOSED DOOR POLICY

It is extremely sad that HF  has wasted many years by NOT utilising parents' considerable expertise of their own children, their helpfulness and genuinely wanting to help. Parents have so much to offer and are usually welcomed with open arms into a school, particularly a special needs school

WHY A CLOSED DOOR POLICY?

(1) It suited certain individuals in the past
(2)  It fitted the previous attempt at PRIVATISATION

So why does it continue so blatantly (they are not even subtle about it)
The only conclusion  we can come up with is that they are about to go for PRIVATISATION again, maybe Sept 07 or Jan 08
when the V.R. Surtees says he is going to relinquish the chair of Govs. Will the Private Company want to put in their own Chair of Govs. because the emphasis is changed to running a business and making a profit

SO WHAT MAKES ME THINK THIS MIGHT BE ABOUT TO HAPPEN?

Well quite a few children have been transferred  either out of county as residential or day pupils, several to St. Elizabeth's not at the parents instigation, but that of county. This is costing them vast sums of money. One would think if they were going towards Privatisation they would be busy saving money like the previous time, but the reason given for Privatisation not being allowed by Essex C.C. was that it was NOT INSOLVENT or whatever a local authority's equivalent is. So are they trying to prove that they are INSOLVENT

SO IT MUST BE OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE WHY THIS WEBSITE IS NOT CLOSING

As well as a form of communication for parents who cannot communicate otherwise, including the excellent Interactive Messaging Board,we are going to concentrate on face to face gatherings in private houses, so we can limit who can attend ( we obviously don't trust the school)
Our main aim will be to attempt to facilitate Parent -school partnership, as is prescribed in all the NMSS school documents, in the best interests of our children.

HERE'S WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL NEW TERM
AND WE'LL GIVE THE NEW HEAD SUE DAVIS A GOOD AND HONEST CHANCE.
