End of Term Report for ... TIMBARA MILLERAS

Timbara has made a good effort in one to one communications but overall has made limited impact and progress.

He must try to be more radical and genuinely inclusive of parents and not just play at it D minus

Well, as a significant number of you know on the interactive messaging board, although we and the staff are feeling considerably more relaxed this term, there is still something not right in the school. The newsletter was just not informative enough, and rather strange. It was not Tim's style;in fact it was much more Barbara's style. Is she still there in body or in spirit or even at the end of a computer? Perhaps in her time at HF she actually learnt to use one!!

Parents want to have proper opportunies to meet and network, outside of school hours , because many work. One likely explanation is that the LEA want this website closed down. However we've already pointed out it won't close down until it's functions are being fulfilled in another medium, namely face to face, school organised , meetings that most parents are able to attend, not poxy coffee mornings that few can get to. Saturday mornings, once a month, in the school, and some evening meetings.

This is a parents Support Group, formed in the face of parents being discouraged to meet in the school (apart from the few Blind Unreserved Trusters)

So this begs the question - WHO IS CONTINUING THIS CLOSED DOOR POLICY TO PARENTS ,AND WHY?

The only answer seems to be the LEA. Why? Perhaps because it is bankrupt and it doesn't want parents to see what is going on. Who knows why!!!

After five years of this draconian policy it would seem that THERE MUST BE SOMETHING REALLY SERIOUS TO HIDE. Serious things usually involve money and corruption.

The reason a few years ago was Privatisation, but fortunately that was thrown out. However there must have been some serious financial readjustments after that.

Having barked INCLUSION at us for a long time which only resulted in HF children being regimented into classes not suited, its about time the school told the parents about there inclusion policy. I doubt if many parents would disagree with , where possible having classes of HF pupils based in other schools with their class teacher and integrating in some lessons like dance, drama, P.E.,Art and Music. Some types of learning difficulties do require specialist teaching ie autism and PMLD and needs to be based at HF.

This happens in lots of schools, so this isn't a state secret, and so not the reason for the LEA block.

In a normal school environment there is a vast amount of information availble to parents - so why is it not forthcoming here? For example being as there is never a full list of teachers and photos available, it is possible that the school is understaffed. It has been suggested that as a pseudo privatisation policy, ie to save money, the staff are being out sourced, like the school nurse, which would mean that our children are being seriously short changed. We already know about the policy of dividing classes in to super-sized groups which in effect are being "taught" by Teaching Assistants (some are competant) many of whom were only appointed by Barbara because they would tow the line, and nothing to do with their ability to relate to and help our children. I'm not criticising the good ones . They and we know who they are. But there is a serious shortage of well motivated and suitably skilled staff

To any parents out there, whose children started in the last five years and we haven't been in contact with, can we assure you the you should be expecting better than what you are getting at the moment. Meeting to discuss and discover what we have in common and trade ideas is a very positive thing, and it will have to be outside of school at the moment. Join our significant support group by sending an e-mail and we will beat these blocks that are being applied to us. Unlike Barbara Timbo is the kind of person we could work with in a very positive way. We ALL want the school to go forward in a positive way, but it's not us that's preventing it

Which brings me to the GOVERNORS. What a bunch of ...................

They broke the law last year by cancelling the annual parents meeting before the vote date arrived. They must have been really desperate. And this year Brianara Surtomas, has spectacularly failed to produce the Governors report, so that the APM cannot yet be held. This , along with the closed door policy really stinks of something rather corrupt. In truth we know that Barbara always wrote it, and Brianara signed it ,so presumably she's refusing to write it, no one else knows how the hell to do it.

Coming soon ... the evidence of desperate measures that Barbara went to to try and rid herself of a troublesome parent, by involving the police. We have a a copy of the Police Report, which points to the parent being completely right and is likely to be why Barbara resigned ... because the police were investigating the deaths of the 2 PMLD's . We even have a note in Barbara's fair hand saying if they got to know about this meeting " OUR LIVES WOULDN'T BE WORTH LIVING" I should think so Barbara after what youve attempted to put various parents through. Fortunately it didn't work, in fact it WORKED AGAINST YOU

Watch this space after Xmas.Various things including the lawbreaking Governors have to be dealt with. We really do want to forget BT but something tells me its not over till the fat lady sings. You all Have a VERY HAPPY XMAS and keep communicating.
