have had to go to the Police station to each make a statement in the assault case (see Nov. & Dec. 07)
At last the police have been persauded to take notice, in spite of the cover-up.
It was just a matter of showing the photos to enough people.
These poor parents are now being bombarded with lots of nastiness and difficulties by the school, including being expected to go to meetings, where the head
is trying to reassert her unreassertable authority by being unreasonable,
It's about time management grew up, took their punishment and began behaving in a civilised manner
You don't get away with doing this to a child.
We were rechecking the 2005 OFSTED REPORT and a strange thing emerged.
It refers to the 2000 Ofsted Report when
"a VERY SMALL number of parents had CONCERNS which (that) inspection judged to be UNFOUNDED"
In the original it actually said INVALID, which is a very inappropriate terminology, because the points made were certainly valid, even if the inspector chose not accept them as founded.
But then it goes on to say that "the Head teacher has done his best to address these concerns"!!!

So why would Tim address INVALID concerns? ....Because they were valid,and founded in truth but the authorities don't want to acknowledge this.
So Tim addressed Tank water and other Health& Safety issues, but look what ' invalid 'issues we raised!!!
  1. TANK WATERThe concern that PMLD wheelchair children were being given water which was collected in  open-topped tanks on the roof. Why was this not sorted with the £2million makeover in 1999 - see finance below. It is generally believed among parents that lots of vunerable children got stomach upsets and worse. One parent was hounded for her concern about this. Trouble-maker or valid concern?  You tell us. Incidentally it is believed that one classroom still only receives tank water. Being as no sane parent can get into verify this we will have to leave this to our undercover employees.
  2. SCHOOL POOL(S) The defunct pool was a hydrotherapy pool, mainly used for PMLDs. The other remaining pool is too cold to be a hydro-therapy pool, yet PMLDs are still being put in it and becoming ill. You tell us. Are we right to be concerned?
  3. HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUES There were a number of these which the inspectors never gave us a reply to.
  4. FINANCE. This issue has been raised in 2000 and 2005 and our concerns have been well founded. The 2005 inspector got all the Accounts books in, including the PTAs  and interestingly the PTA committee resigned en mass and with out announcement. Speaks volumes doesn't it! Also during the inspection the never ever seen Head of Finance Committee resigned as we suggested and no new one has been appointed to our knowledge, presumably because the mess had become apparent. Tim was suspended and 'resigned' because of various management issues like a lack of Annual Reviews, but by then Essex was beginning to unravel unbelievable financial mismanagement, not due to Tim, but going back further to Barbara Thomas. The school has still not issued 4 years of financial summaries which they are to supposed to do statutarily, to parents; remember the 'open' forum in the summer these were promised but have not yet materialised. Enough NEW furniture and other equipment has gone through that school for TWO SCHOOLS. Somebody wasn't going on expensive holidays, but they were setting up a private school. The LEA is so embarrassed that they ignored our CONCERNS earlier that they've kept the parents totally uninformed. So why do you think we've had so many Interim Heads, working very hard in pairs. To completely sort out the school in almost EVERY aspect of management. How do we know? One of those Interim Heads kindly told us. How much money/assets went missing. £100,000s.....
So you see , we fail to see how what we said can possibly be invalid or unfounded. They should be thanking us, and telling the parents.

Why did we not get a New Head for so long? Because the school was in county special measures. We're not even convinced now that things have been sorted out, or that Ms. Davies is meant to be the Long-term Head, above assaults disregarded.
ACCIDENT and INCIDENT RECORDS, Forms and BOOKS

Has the school got any of the above yet, after SEVEN years? and why is it so reluctant to give any incident reports to any parent that enquires?
LOTS GOING ON AT SCHOOL which we will leave to discuss till another time.
