June 2008 update
PARENTS ALERT!!!
At a recent meeting when
questioned about the rather bizarre lock-down arrangements, which makes
it extremely uninviting to get in to the school and raises questions
about supervision within the school the Head said that if anyone got
out they would be killed!
So we were HORRIFIED to hear this story.
Recently a Down's Syndrome
boy told staff that he felt sick. The staff weren't convinced so they
left him somewhere to sit quietly. When it came to home time the
young man was nowhere to be found.....Panic stations....well if there
wasn't there should have been.
Still feeling sick the young
man's whereabouts was finally discovered by his distraught mother
3 hours after school finished at 18.30 in the A&E department of
PRINCESS ALEXANDRA HOSPITAL where he had walked from the school to get
ATTENTION for his sickness. We reckon he must have walked atleast a
mile and a half, across how many mainroads? He must have atleast
crossed Forth Avenue which is very busy. Unless of course he got a lift
with a stranger or caught a bus!! Who knows?
His mother was
obviously very angry and initially withdrew him from school, but he is
now back, and hopefully she has secured assurances that this will not
happen again, and apologies?
So why has the school not
informed us of this incident and the steps they (may have) taken to
prevent reoccurence. Also we need to know why this pupil was left
unattended and ill for so long and has the person responsible been
fired or repremanded
HOW MANY OTHER PUPILS ARE LEFT ON THEIR OWN? (safe in the faulty knowledge that they couldn't get out of the school)
CONSTRUCTIVE DISMISSAL
Remember this...

Remember Sue Davies and Mary Rush got Police Cautions for assaulting him and
Mary Rush left the
school.... well since then the boy has been suspended several times,
all his special suport staff withdrawn and guess what.. he has been
permanently excluded..
His parents have declined a move to another school (which they consider totally unsuitable)
inspite of being pressured by the LA to do so. Out of sight out of mind...
Watch this space....
