I hope the "Open" Forum opened your eyes.
Only 20ish of a possible 200+ (2 per child in most cases)
A 5pm kick-off ensured a small turnout.
No announcements of changes (but they are doing NMSS unoficially anyway)
My minutes of the meeting weren't far out, were they.
And attacking the website? Well!
Attack is the best form of defence.
So they are defending themselves - from what?
They are illogical. If they put lots of information on a school website why
would that make any difference to the Parents' website?
These people are behaving like immature naughty children, not like people
running a school.

I WILL REPEAT AGAIN MY PLEDGE TO YOU MS. DAVIES

1. Open the school up genuinely (but safely, of course) to parents etc.
2. Have social occasions for parents to meet - SOCIALISE - at sensible times.
3. Try to co-operate with parents (It is not Us & Them of previous times)
AND I WILL BE DELIGHTED TO CLOSE THIS WEBSITE DOWN

But I suspect this isn't going to happen is it?

This closed door policy is to prevent parents meeting so that they don't
discuss the provision given to their children (and much reduced provision it
has become over the years) and get together to improve their childrens'
provision, like all children having teachers, proper speech therapy and all
therapies. This, of course costs the LEA money, so they are preventing parents
getting together.

FINANCIAL ABUSE  or BLACKHOLE - OR THEFT, STEALING OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT
Yes I heard the V. Rev. Surtees skim the financial question and give no
satisfactory answers. Property or money was stolen from the school in large
amounts and nobody is going to publicly account for this and no financial
statements are being issued for several years. So much to explain publicly,
nothing said, and no police involvement - YET!

BE THERE - SOCIALISE - Exchange phone numbers and details, and we can organise
more get togethers away from school.

Lastly - HF Governors stop blaming this website for your inadequacies.
YOU have problems which need addressing
You need to stop treating parents as dirt
It tells me we are making an impact
It gives me encouragement to carry on - and achieve more than we have already
Mind you, if you keep whingeing, it makes YOU look stupid.
