TIM - SUSPICIONS CONTINUE

It has been suggested that the one area which we rather cowardly left out last month was DRUGS. Several parents have been thinking about the drug issue as a possibility since Tim was attacked last year. He's very thin and very 'up', and his response to being attacked with a knife was very unemotional. We hope this isn't the correct scenario.
FINANCE still seems to be the favourite and gaining ground with the knowledge that the much criticised Mrs. Helen Jackson, Chair of The Finance Committee has resigned, early in the year (but after OFSTED) . Parents have been complaining about her total absence from any meeting - does she exist? so that nobody has been able to question her about inconsistencies in the school's accounts. We feel her absences were deliberate, in fact we wouldn't know who she was if we bumped into her on the street.. We feel she should be called to account publicly as soon as possible. It is strange how many people have been complained to about the accounts, and nobody would take any action. At an Annual Parents Meeting ever since the school re-launched Mrs. Jackson has avoided these and so has never been available to answer questions, and nobody else on the Govs would answer questions either.

SUE ELSTON has resigned, although she served out her notice. She has been at Harlowfields and Tye Green previously, and was the only member of office staff to retain her employment, so Barbara must have believed that she could manipulate her loyalty.. She may or may not have been involved in Tim's suspension, but she was not marched out of the building like Tim was. She stayed a month to train up her replacement, Mrs.Janette Tupper.

Both seem very efficient, helpful and dare I say 'normal' considering that they are management

STILL NO WORDS ABOUT NEW MODEL SPECIAL SCHOOL REARRANGEMENTS
Maybe I feel slightly less convinced that most pupils will be relocated to mainstream schools next term. Who knows? and When is someone going to tell the parents? Are they waiting until everyone's had an Annual Review, because at the Annual Review NEXT YEAR is supposed to be being discussed.

PARENTS - Ask at your child's review (1) Where will he/she be located next year
(2) Who will be his teacher or even Will he HAVE a teacher??
(3) Which children will he be with?
Report back to the INTERACTIVE MESSAGING BOARD so we can build up a picture
The question is no longer when will they tell the parents their short and long term plans, but will they bother to tell us at all!!!
If they do relocate numbers of pupils to mainstream it will mean the death of Harlowfields.
Current speculation is that Harlowfields will become a Centre for Therapies or even a relocated C.D.C.. Why are they enlarging the car park by the garages? and an Assessment Centre for Special Needs.
Why are the pupils no longer being arranged into Upper and Lower Schools?
Why has the Upper School Therapy Pool not been renovated, considering how new the rest of the school is?
When will the school be holding the April 26th statutory meeting to discuss the OFSTED report and action?
WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING;
(1) To see that Helen Jackson is held publicly accountable, materialises, and speaks about the 6 years of the Finance Committee
(2) To see Mr. Surtees removed from his post because of incompetence.

Lastly , it is interesting to note that there isn't a Staff Dismissal Committee on the Govs , so how can they 'suspend' and deal with Tim ?
