The Very Reverend Surtees promised parents he would let them know the outcome, but of course he hasn't. One must assume that they didn't appoint. This is a total disgrace. It means more interim Heads and no permanent appointment until at least Easter.

We get the distinct feeling that they are hiding behind the premise that it's difficult to get Heads nowadays and that they know who they will appoint but are waiting for perceived problems like the Website to disappear.

Webmaster is anxious that our children should not be deprived of good leadership a moment longer than necessary.

It was an absolutely awful and obscure advert, which suggested that they weren't really trying. It was also a very inaccurate portrait of the school. It is also significant that no one apart from the LEA's inner circle knows what the LEA's VISION is, making it very hard for an outsider to get the Head's job.

Is the chosen person waiting in the wings. There are indications that there are lots of things wrong with the school that need to be put right, before any person in their right mind would think of applying.

Not least is the complete lack of communication with the parents, nor any attempt to involve the majority of parents in anything positive in the school. This is such a waste of a precious resource, and a long term deliberate policy.

Webmaster is very disappointed about the failure of the Governors to appoint, as Webmaster would be very happy to close the website once an acceptable Head was in place and good communications restored or introduced. Surely good communications and a strong successful leader aren't incompatable? Meanwhile there are moves afoot to take parental communications even further as the Rev seems unchristianly reluctant to do so.   WATCH THIS SPACE
