October update. Watch out ! Watch out ! There's an OFSTED about!.
So the school found out on Friday 10th October that the school would be inspected on Wednesday 15th October.
Rather typically we have discovered that quite a number of parents did
not receive the Inspector's Questionaire, which is supposed to be
distributed by the school. Of course one may suppose that these are
just the parents who might have some critical input to make.
Along with this the head , Sue Davies was heard to be introducing to
the inspector a parent, who just so happens to be an LSA so lots
of critical input there then.
As you Interactive Messagers know, we have made a decision to stay
quiet until the inspector has gone. We want the inspector to inspect
the teachers teaching abilities , the administration and management and
this is what the new routine inspection does.
We don't want the school to use the usual excuse of "a group of
disatisfied parents" and "dissident website" as something to blur the
inspection and our experience is that inspector's don't take much
notice of individual comments, however valid. We accept that a
reasonable amount of parents are happy with the school, but maintain
that a significant number are not - as suggested by the number of
Interactive Messages.
Even if one parent is unhappy this still should be considered and addressed by the school.
However as soon as the report is issue we will be discussing it.
WANNA JOB???
Would
you like to work in the office? Join a Happy office of a very
INDIVIDUAL Special School. What on earth makes it individual as a
special school?
It has the grand total of 94 pupils on role, and 2or 3 others in the office. Webmaster says you will have to be a gatekeeper.

Wanna be Head of Further Ed? (Note this advert appears just
before Ofsted arrives and they want someone ASAP because they are
short.)
Note the wide range of learning difficulties, particularly ASD and
PMLD, across all PHRASES, whatever that means. (I would be the first to
admit that my typing's not always that good - so no chance of a job for
me in the office then)
Or how about a planning and admissions officer at 35,000 a year.
You have to be a forward thinker with a 'can
do' attitude and remain
calm and professional under pressure!!
