Welcome
“The didgeridoo or yidaki is an ancient musical instrument rooted in Aboriginal culture going back at least two thousand years. Its hypnotic sound has echoed throughout Australia and today has become more popular in the west. For many it is an instrument of fascination, yet the didgeridoo is capable of highly complex sounds producing both enjoyment and beneficial health for those that learn to play. It is a sheer joy to experience this and the soundscapes from within that hollow tube. I have been playing now for over 10 years and it still inspires me. All you need is breath, subtlety and the intimate power and energy of the human body!”

His approach to Didgeridoo Music is subtle, intimate and powerful. Influenced by traditional and contemporary techniques, along with dance music, John’s versatile style of play is highly energetic, rhythmic and musical. He creates lively upbeat tracks, sometimes hypnotic, to the more melodic or ambient. As an accomplished didge soloist, he performs and records acoustic tracks with or without the accompaniment of clapsticks, shaker and drum - with the occasional use of synth keys and atmospheric tones.
John is a didgeridoo maker and he teaches the art of how to play. He has also performed at various venues including charity events, busking, bars, including his most recent performance at the International Didgeridoo Music Festival.
My latest album, Off The Cuff is a more upbeat CD. As the title suggests it was recorded on the spur of the moment, with a live feel to the tracks.

Playing live at the Singing Sticks Festival
On stage at the Didgehead Radio festival - Isle of Wight

My first CD album, Out The Back, was inspired by a sound engineering course, Merlins cave in Tintagel and the sun, the sea and the surf.
