Some of the reasons why our customers have booked a Make it Science show:
Shows for Young Children
Mighty Morphin’ Animals
The story of the ‘Very Hungary Caterpillar’ is brought to life with puppets, props and drama. See how animals can change completely during their life cycles. With hands and feet-on experiments you will learn how a butterfly finds food, take part in a caterpillar story and watch a complete life cycle on screen. ‘Readit’ the frog will hop on to show everyone how his baby grows up. This lively show will have you laughing, popping, counting and shouting ‘arhh!’ in equal measures. (This show is also available as a workshop.)
Pre-school and KS1 children will love this show which fits in well with the foundation stage science curriculum.
Shows for KS1-3 and mixed audiences.
Eggcellent Eggsperiments
Why not eggsplore an egg from its shell to its yolk in a show that is perfect for Easter? Fascinating egg facts will be revealed along the way but watch out for the foul jokes. Find out about Newton’s 3 chicken joke laws, what each part of the egg is for and how to see inside an egg. This interactive show includes scenes of domestic science. It can also be delivered as a workshop.

Science Trick or Treat
The make it Witch brings you a spooky show perfect for Halloween. With a cauldron of tricks that could be science or are they magic? Help the witch make: a rainbow in a bottle, a bad child detector and an unusual batch of custard. Trick your senses and decode ghostly messages in this fun packed, ghoulish show. As a final treat make someone scream with a batty book mark and help to launch a mini hot air balloon. This show can also be performed as a workshop.
Conditions for a balloon launch.
Please note that for a balloon launch you will either need a room with a high ceiling or an outdoor space with access to a power point. For outdoor launches the weather will need to be still and dry. The show can take place without the balloon launch.

Kitchen Science
Make it Science throws open the kitchen cupboards and experiments with the contents. Starting with the humble can of pop we explore centre of gravity, gas bubble formation and volcanoes. The show continues by milking all the science out of, well, milk and lots of other food stuffs. Throw in some rockets and a PET bottle and you have a science party in the kitchen. To clean up afterwards the Make it Lady will bring her vacuum cleaner bazooka. A mini hot air balloon can also be launched if conditions allow (see above.)

Wacky Water
(This show may get you wet.)
Water, water everywhere but how much can we drink? This and many more wet questions will be answered by the Make it Lady in this interactive science show. You might get to be a drip in the water cycle or join the molecular theatre and have a gas. One minute you will be hot, the next you will be cold as we explore what happens when the heat is on. Ways of saving water will be discussed, surface tension will be dispelled and the history of the Super-Soaker is bound to make you a little damp, but never fear—the naughty squirty bottle will sort out any bad behaviour. If there is some outside space the show will end with a water rocket launch. This show can also be done as a workshop.
