'DORALLT INN GOLF SOCIETY'

1. The name of the society shall be 'DORALLT INN GOLF SOCIETY'

2. The 'DORALLT INN GOLF SOCIETY' shall consist of a maximum number of 40 members

3. Each member shall pay a membership fee annually, the amount to be agreed at each AGM. Such a fee shall be payable before 1st April following each AGM. Failure to do so will result in his membership of the SOCIETY being lapsed.

4 The AGM of the SOCIETY shall be held on MONDAY of the first week of MARCH each year. The venue shall be DORALLT INN HENLLYS.

5. In recognition of the SOCIETY'S origins at the INN, the PRESIDENT of DORALLT INN GOLF SOCIETY shall be MR BRIAN MORGAN retired landlord of the DORALLT INN. VICE PRESIDENT shall be MR STUART STAPLES present landlord of the DORALLT INN.

6 At each AGM the members shall elect the SOCIETY'S COMMITTEE for the year. The election will be done by a secret ballot, on the basis of one vote per member of the SOCIETY. The committee shall consist of the following officers with responsibilities as detailed.

7 CAPTAIN. The CAPTAIN shall be the VICE-CAPTAIN of the previous year. His period of office shall be from AGM to AGM. His duties shall be to preside over meetings at which he is present. He shall present any prizes to winners and runners up of all events held during the year. He shall arrange with the assistance of the SECRETARY the venues for all events. He shall prepare and present an account of the SOCIETY'S yearly activities at the SOCIETY'S AGM.

8 VICE-CAPTAIN. The SOCIETY'S CAPTAIN shall elect the VICE-CAPTAIN. His duties shall be to deputise for the SOCIETY'S CAPTAIN and shall take over the above responsibilities at which he is present in the absence of the SOCIETY'S Captain.

9 SECRETARY. The SECRETARY shall be elected at the SOCIETY'S AGM. His duties shall be to prepare an Agenda and maintain the minutes for the AGM and committee meetings and deal with all resultant correspondence. He shall assist the SOCIETY'S CAPTAIN to arrange venues for all events. Ensure that all members of the SOCIETY are informed and kept up to date of all SOCIETY'S matters by means of a notice displayed on the SOCIETY NOTICE BOARD in DORALLT INN.

10. TREASURER The TREASURER shall be elected at the SOCIETY'S AGM. He shall ensure that all approved expenditure is settled promptly. He shall ensure that all members pay their annual fee when due. That all SOCIETY funds are properly accounted for and that a full statement of account is available for presentation at the AGM.

11 HANDICAP SECRETARY. The HANDICAP SECRETARY shall be elected at the SOCIETY'S AGM. He shall ensure that all members handicap are maintained and are available for sight at all events.

12 SOCIETY'S COMMITTEE. The SOCIETY'S COMMITTEE shall consist of Captain, VICE CAPTAIN, SECRETARY, TREASURER, and HANDICAP SECRETARY, IMMEDIATE PAST CAPTAIN and three other members of the SOCIETY who shall be elected at the SOCIETY'S AGM. The COMMITTEE shall meet on the first MONDAY of every month at 20.30 in DORALLT INN HENLLYS. Any SOCIETY COMMITTEE member missing three consecutive meetings shall automatically cease to be member of the SOCIETY COMMITTEE. The SOCIETY COMMITTEE shall have the power to appoint another SOCIETY MEMBER in such an event.

13 RULES OF THE SOCIETY.

1. MEMBERS allowed to join the SOCIETY must be fully paid up member of a recognised GOLF CLUB and must also have a CLUB HANDICAP.

2. The COMMITTEE will vet NEW MEMBERS.

3 Each new member shall pay a joining fee and must purchase a SOCIETY jumper, which must be worn at any event organised by the SOCIETY.

4 COMPETITIONS/HANDICAP

There shall be Seven competitions and a Trip held annually. The winner of these competitions shall have his handicap adjusted as follows:-

CLUB H.C 28 - 21 Down by 3

20 - 10 Down by 2

9 and under down by 1

He will play with this handicap in all SOCIETY'S events until notified by the HANDICAP SECRETARY, which will be 12 months after the event. No member shall be allowed to play off a HANDICAP higher than his own club HANDICAP.

5. If a member does not make an appearance for two venues in a full year His membership shall deemed to be lapsed from the SOCIETY. The ANNUAL TRIP will count as one.

6. GUESTS are only allowed to be invited to three venues in a full year and it is the responsibility of the member who invites the to ensure that they conform to RULE 1.

7. Each member shall be given a copy of these rules.
