Hi and welcome to my site. OK, "Boatbuilder" with a capital "B" might be a stretch. This is my first boat. I was inspired to set this up by many encouraging friends and the many happy hours exploring their web sites, the most inspiring being Maddog!’s brilliant boatbuilding adventure. The boat I am building by myself is a Dudley Dix CW 975 which won the 1979 Design Competition run by Cruising World magazine. When Dudley Dix built the prototype, Concept Won, and raced it across the Atlantic from South Africa, it had a tall sloop rig. It has since been sold and the new owner has converted it to a Junk rig sail. My boat, (as yet unnamed,) will also feature a junk rigged sail similar to the Chinese Junk.
