Well once again it's been quite a while since I was last able to write a piece for my web page. It seems that there are always unexpected things to cope with, which get in the way of your best laid plans.Progress on the boat building project has been quite satisfactory, since I was last able to write. The timbers for the side decking have been fitted, the fore deck and side decks have been fitted back as far as the cockpit. I have also been able to complete the cabin sides, and the whole of the cabin roof has been fitted.

Quite a big job was covering the side and fore decks plus the whole of the cabin, with a sheath of fibreglass. This has also been completed which means that now threequarters of the hull is now completely waterproof as we look towards the winter season.
So the next job will be to rearrange the temporary shelter to cover the cockpit area. Hopefully then the work on the cockpit will be able to go on whatever the weather.

On the home front, despite wishing to visit another part of the country for a holiday this year, an opportunity presented itself for our daughter to go on an organised break to sherringham in Norfolk. So once again we found ourselves camping in Cromer as it made sense to go there at the same time.
We actually ended up in the overspill field of an alternative campsite as our usual site was fully booked, well thank goodness for that because the overspill field was actually very scenic looking over an extremely large expanse of a wheat field, whereas the site itself was very crowded, they were packing them in VERY tightly :)

Other news is that the tent and camping may be out of favour now, as we have managed to get ourselves a lovely small sprite caravan (courtesy of ebay). We have had one short trip with it already to a small local caravan site, just to try it out. The Van towed extremely well and we are presently very pleased with it ( We are getting to a time in our lives when we appreciate a little more comfort).
I hope to get some picture's of the caravan next time, and maybe a couple of our camping holiday this year, Oh and I have also been busy working on a yard trailer for the boat I am building, I hope to write again fairly soon, until then I wish fair winds to you all.
