Where & When
Pool Training
We meet at the Leeds
Aquatics Centre (address below), every Wednesday 7.15 PM to 9.00 PM.
We teach snorkelling and Sub-Aqua Diving, so the whole family can get involved
Snorkellers need to be 8 years and Divers 14 years old
Theory lectures are generally held over a weekend, although alternative arrangements can be made if necessary.
Training gives you internationally recognised qualifications. A basic structure is shown here, though there are many more skill development and national qualifications available besides:

This gets you into open water
Sports Diver
A diver with greater and more varied diving experience
Dive Leader
A diver who is skilled and experienced enough to take responsibility for less experienced
divers
Advanced Diver
A very skilled and experienced diver who is capable of organising diving activities and
expeditions
Club Instructor
A nationally qualified instructor skilled in training
others
Open Water Instructor
A nationally qualified instructor
with additional skills to train others in open water
Advanced Instructor
A nationally qualified instructor
capable of organising regional training events and skill development courses
