Our Starter Packs have proved very popular and successful as basic kits for use in a class or as a means of teaching yourself to make lace. All the equipment you receive is ready to use.

D.J. HORNSBY LACE STARTER PACK No. 1

Includes instructions and diagrams by Sylvia Hornsby, reprinted from a feature published in a 'Bobbin Lace' edition of 'Popular Crafts' magazine. You will learn how to make a lace bookmark - even if you have no previous experience and are not able to go to a lace making class.

This pack includes:

A covered 450mm polystyrene lace pillow.
24 ready spangled plastic bobbins.
1 Pack of brass lace pins.
1 brass pin vice with needle for use as pricker.
1 Piece of pricking card.
1 ball of DMC Special Dentelles thread.
Instructions to make 'Spider and Fan' lace bookmark.

If you would like additional items, or alternatives to those already supplied with the packs, we would be pleased to help, and make up a kit to suit your requirements.
