The subject matter, in my art practice, is the natural world. Based on a combination of practical surrealism and representation, I gather my information by exploiting opportunities as they present themselves, such as the shapes and colours of natural objects which I see and touch and also the sounds which I hear that surround me, whilst out on location. I then consolidate these experiences using mark, form and colour to capture the moment.
My art work is diverse in size and form, ranging from A4 size digital prints, small drawings and paintings, to 162x168cm painted canvases.
