We meet in a large and comfortable ground floor room (with an adjacent bar!) at
the Wessex Hotel,
Participation is the name of the game, so anyone turning up will be recruited
into a game without difficulty (if they want to be!) You are welcome to drift
in for a short while to see what is going on, needless to say. Age (physical or
mental) is no barrier although we cannot be responsible for children without an
accompanying adult. We play mainly
historical wargames in a wide variety of periods,
although fantasy games figure regularly.
The room we’re in has enough tables, chairs and space to put on
three or four 8’x 4’ games at once. We’ve usually got between 15 and 25
people attending a good evening, so turn up promptly if you want to find space
to put on a game!
We’re not exactly a club, as there are no subs and the only rule is that
you’ve got to be friendly (and patronise the bar, to be fair, as the
Wessex have been very generous to let us have the venue for nothing).
